How do you get a Golden axe

I read that if you get a great rating for 15 days, the mayor will give you one. But I had 2 months of perfect and still nothing???

Help me please

^There's your problem! There's a glitch in the game. If you dump trash, even in the dump, it resets the day counter to zero. Get rid of trash by giving it to Nook instead.

How come? The villigers always tell me to throw the stupid crap to the dump. So how come does it restart the day count to zero? After all that is were the stupid crap belongs.

there's a little trick that allows you to get the Golden Axe within one day(must be willing to time travel), I'll post it when i find it, it's here on my computer somewhere.
