Okay,I bought an Ornate Rug from Nook for 2,100 bells. Then an animal popped up and gave me another Ornate Rug. I sold the one I bought,and he gave me 500 bells!
It's the same with other games with shop keepers... They sell expensive stuff you buy from them for a small fraction of the price...

I push them when I get mad. They start crying and then they forgive you the next day. It's fun!!!!! And about the shopkeeper thing, most of the games I play buy the stuff back for half price. Haven't they heard of satisfaction-guarantee??
