</font>[/quote]Of course they can do that, if Fox has the rights to DBZ to make a movie, it wouldn't take much more for them to make a cartoon. It will be up to how well the movie does, then they will decide whether to just get the rights and play the original DBZ on their network, or if they want to make an entirely new DBZ so they will have the full rights to it, including liscencing rights. (and just in case none of you thought about it, once the movie is actually made and being prepped for theaters, most likely Cartoon Network will start showing DBZ again in spades! Probably 2-3 episodes a day, 2 on Toonami, and one at Midnight like they used to do)

Here's my joke list (It will be mostly with the dub names, sorry): Master Roshi: Sean Connery Vegita: The guy that played Lord Rathbone in Shanghai Knights Krillin: Kenan Thompson or professional wrestler Goldberg Frieza: John Travolta Goku: Ben Affleck, definitely Tienshinhan: The Rock Android 18 (The girl, right?): Britney Spears Android 19: Weird Al |

"What? I will destroy you!" What'll really suck is that of course, it'll be based off of the dub, so they won't say kill, but destroy.

Posts: 5,560 Thanks: 0 Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post | What is really hard to predict is what the actually plot of the movie will be, obviously since its the first movie they will inevitably have to do the first DBZ saga: The Saiyan Saga, which turned out to be more of a catching up from DB saga/meeting new characters saga. Not much happened in that season, so it is possible Fox may try and skip over the Saiyan Saga to get to the Frieza Saga (though you also have to take into thought that most movies aren't that much over 2 hours, so they have to figure out a way to cram all they want into that short a timespan . . . as a result, the whole 5 minutes of Namek in 5 episodes will probably be left on the cutting room floor). Also add editing based on casting, certain hard to create characters (like King Kai, Piccolo, and Freiza), human restrictions (obviously human beings can not move the way the Z-fighters move), and, ultimately, what will please they're target demographic. As a result of that . . . I have absolute little idea just what the movie will be like. Who knows if it will suck? Its a new time since the last anime live-action, and its not like some no name company is taking it, its Fox and they do get make a lot of movies. They did a decent job with the X-Men movie and Spiderman (not sure if either was Fox, its just a reference to nowadays movies based on cartoon characters), maybe the DBZ movie will actually be . . . daresay . . . decent? |

Then you're going to have to have the whole cast of actors screaming for up to twenty minutes (what if one of them loses his voice on the set? heh.) DBZ is way too confusing and strange to be acted out by real people. Confusing, yes. Because there are about 6 different plots, and if you don't know the characters....well, too bad for you. My guess is that only really hardcore fans will go see it, and maybe not even them. Hell, maybe they will be the ones avoiding it. ![]() |

Minime with white-face paint and red dots on his cheeks...he'll probably be CGI. But hell they nixed Kami and brought in Mr. Freaking Popo. ![]() He trains the weaker humans. Crazy. And I betcha they thrown in SS somewhere. [ August 04, 2004, 01:10 PM: Message edited by: Rattan ] |
