I've only been able to see the first two, and I already really like it. Whereas Cowboy Bebop was about bounty hunters in the future with a jazz soundtrack, Samurai Champloo is in feudal (I think) Japan with a hip-hop soundtrack. There are three main characters that I've seen so far: Mugen, the samurai with a unique break-dancing fighting style; Jin, the foil to Mugen, a calm, more traditional samurai; and Fuu, a waitress of a tea shop that gets burned down by a sore loser who loses to Mugen and joins the two looking for a "samurai who smells of sunflowers". Definitely worth a look. |

I've just been getting fansubs, and when I, someone who doesn't really like anime and prefers dubs, go out of my way to get something like this, then it must be good. ![]() |
