Give me a few years... 'till then I'm stuck sounding like a kid. ^__^ Generally speaking, I like the Japanese voices better 'cause they have better "sound" to me, and better rythm... but I also like the English language, the nuances, and the conotations of words. Books I prefer english, 'cause Kanji's hell. Manga I definately prefer Japanese. Spoken=either, depending mostly on the show. I really, really loved what they did with Full Metal Alchemist, though. Ed sounds like a boy, he sounds YOUNG, not old, and his borther sounds sweet. It's promising, and I'm not gonna miss it. Having anime on CN is good, 'cause I've no money to import too many DVDs, or enough bandwidth to download them. |

XD;; The Japanese one sounds like... a 6 year old girl. I'm quite serious-- that was my main gripe about the FMA voices in Japanese... All throughout the series, I was like.. "Wow... he really sounds like a girl." Be glad it sounds relatively accurate. T_T() And I'm happy that they apparently did not screw up the voice of the tall lady in black. One odd thing I heard Funimation did though, was that they took one intro song and they're going to put it over all of the video images of all the other intros. So horribly odd. So... if you're hearing "Ready Steady Go" (a good song, by L'Arc en Ciel, go listen to more of their music >_> and wondering why it's really uncoordinated, please, please, go get "Melissa" by this group called (I'm not joking) Porno Graffiti. O_o It's an awesome song. And for later intros, even better songs.. Anywhoo.[ November 08, 2004, 12:11 AM: Message edited by: SilverWind ] |

X3 Leaves me with very little to say! ^___^ |

Apparantly, the voices were all done by one person, half of them sound like retards reading a script, and the translation was done by someone with the grammar skills of Pario. I am never going to complain about voice acting unless it's really terrible. (Like Dark Marik's voice) |
