my friends and I were debating about wether a mega duze (sp) would ever stand a chance against a Gundam. for argument's sake we used the RX-78 Gundam and Big O in this scinario but we couldn't come to a conclusion on which type of mech would win in a battle if they were to ever face each other. so I've brought this to you guys at the anime forum to find out once and for all which mech would win.

And I want to go with Gundams on this one. I've never watched Big O, but I have read up on their weapons capabilities, and in terms of mobility and sheer weaponry I think the Gundams have it beat.

Didn't you even see that episode of Big O? Roger beat Beck hands down. Easier than usual, actually.

I do have to say Megas would probably give Big O a run for its money...

Oh, the Gundams are FAR more mobile than a Megadeuce. Big O moves about as fast as Godzilla at a liesurely pace [img]tongue.gif[/img]

The Gundams definitely have this one all the way though.

As previously stated, the Gundams are obviously more mobile. But what a Megadeuce lacks in speed, it makes up for in power. The Big O could take a lot more crap than any of the Gundams I've seen.

I'm inclined to believe that one hit from a Megadeuce would utterly annihilate a Gundam.

I seriously doubt that. The Gundams can take quite a lot of crap, and their weapons alone are ridiculously powerful. Didn't Wing Zero destroy an entire countryside with his beam?

Also, regardless of Mega Deuce's powers, he's competing with these he probably won't be able to land a finger on, each equipped with strong enough weaponry -- especially in the case of the Scyth(?) and Sand... stone(wtf?) Gundams, who could probably turn his face to string cheese.

Not saying Deuce wouldn't put up a fight, but its kinda one-sided.

Ah yes.....Deathscythe Hell. My favorite Gundam. With the wings down, it can deflect blasts, and with them up, it has insane mobility ^_^

Gundams do have an advantage over Mega Deuce. But overall, Megas XLR is the king of irony, and that gives him quite an edge. Coop always finds a way to win...as stupid as he is.

I admit, Mega Deuce is one hell of a machine, but he's really not that powerful. If it were a boxing contest, than he'd have the advantage, but since it's not...
