Naturally, naming a fight from an anime could spoil it for someone, so before posting it, put the name of the series in bold above it, and it is the choice of the individual to read it or not. Rurouni Kenshin The Kenshin vs. Saitou fight. No contest. Some fights are cool because of the emotion involved between the characters. Other fights are cool because of top-notch animation and art. This fight is awesome because of both. |

Cowboy Bebop: Stairway to Heaven, the fight with Spike and Vincent on the train where Spike just beats the crap out of him...or the final fight before Elektra shows up. |

I have to say that one of the things that make me giddy is: Naruto ...Zabuza slaughtering people right before his demise... OOOooooh yeah. |

Heh, that's kind of amusing considering that Goku is essentially retarded. I didn't think any of the fights in DBZ were very good. I rather liked the fight between Yamcha and Tenshinhan in DB, however. The final fight of Trigun is pretty freakin' awesome. |

Anyways, since DBZ is being beaten to death here, I'm going to go right off the bat and say most of the battles in the manga are pretty awesome. The first time Goku fights Piccolo is something to remember -- action packed, with counters and heavy blows that partially inspire my Battlefielding. It is also, what, the goriest battle in DBZ in terms of brutality? Then there's Raditz, which was equally awesome, if anything just to see Goku and Piccolo take on someone so much more powerful than they were. The pictures were drawn so you could follow the action like the characters were moving of their own accord, espcially true when Raditz takes off, delivering his boots to the duo's collective faces in mid-flight. And the climax, which was theatric as well. The battle against the Two Saiyans was also pretty cool, again because of reigning superiority, and the early stages of the battle between Goku and Vegeta. Goku versus Freezia is another example, because despite the ridiculously complex and distracting backgrounds, there were some pretty awesome martial moves in that fight. And that's all I have to say, although the later Majinn-Vegeta dueling Goku and Fat Buu (being such a wacky and powerful character) were also something to comment on. I never liked DB, because Goku was always so ridiculously powerful over, jesus, everybody (even the highest trained Red Ribbon soldiers who'd probably been born to kill) that every fight was borderline pathetic. Good thing it was funny. The movies ahd their fair share of awesomeness too -- fluidly animated and none of the asstarded talk-sequences and repeated images of punching morons (mostly). Since they were movies, they needed something more. Also, keep in mind this is a general review of DBZ's sheer fighting (ALONE) in the manga and the movies. My thoughts on anything else about this series can be pretty easily summed up, and are pretty well known. I'm going to mention Battle Angel Alita as well. Namely, the battle against Jashugan, because it was Alita and four other cyborgs, and Jashugan was so much ridiculously better than them all... he destroyed everyone but Alita before a single character could touch the Motorball, tearing them apart and through them like dandelions in a grass field with cold and badasss efficiency. His final moment was also rather glorious. I could rant on about this series for a while, but considering it has a fair share of numerous fights (all of which, excluding Demon-Battle-Zapan, were totally awesome), and my laziness, I will mention this -- Alita vs Alita 002, Alita vs Makaku, and... uh... eh. More animes, but I've lost interest. Next CotW will be Alita. I will find a quote. | |

That's the reason he nearly lost--Teigel came back later and rammed him into a wall. That was also the reason the fight was somewhat anti-climatic. |

Because... they would have been teh screwed. |
