It's being done for Toonami, so there's a 50/50 (or better) chance that the dub will actually be pretty good. I suppose there's a chance that some editing will be done, but I have not actually seen the series so I don't know the level of violence, sex, etc. |\|1|\|j45 |>\/\/|\| j00!!!!11111 I can't think of a good 1337 J. _|? |

I didn't mind the censhorship of blood so much. It took away from the effect, but it was still a good show. | |

NARUTO'S GONNA BE RAPED TO PIECES, AND I'M GONNA PUNCH THE FIRST KID WEARING A HEAD PROTECTOR YELLING 'ART OF THE DOPPLEGANGER'!!!!!!! "![]() |

When you really look at it, would Naruto fit in that well with the FMA's and GITS's of Adult Swim? Besides, the Adult Swim schedule will be full enough as it is this year, so I doubt they could cram in Naruto. As long as they release uncut DVDs, I'll be happy. |

| Gunjinkeeper | My friend had an issue of Shonen Jump, and I read some Naruto and One Piece. I liked both of them. Hopefully, it'll be entertaining. Just hope they don't rip it to pieces and make it into a crappy baby show like... I dunno... Megaman Network Transmission. |

Besides, in a lot of episodes the cuts and edits would only leave around 15 minutes of viewable stuff which just doesn't help when filling a time slot. On a sidenote: Episode 133 of the Naruto anime is easily the best episode of any anime I've ever seen. It was awesome. |

In other news, I've heard that Steven Blum is working on the Naruto English Dub, though it's unknown which character he's doing, if he's doing a voice at all. Still, HOLY ****!!!!!!! His voice in the show ALONE kinda makes me confident that the dub won't suck. (Prays that he's doing Kakashi's voice!) |

Gender: Posts: 7,328 Thanks: 90 Thanked 292 Times in 172 Posts | From Naruto Fan: Naruto Anime Dub, Cuts and Edits Reported by: Tazmo on Friday, May 20th, 2005 at 09:14PM The Naruto anime series that is set to air this September on Cartoon Network's Toonami block will supposedly see its first DVD home video release in December of this year, possibly before Christmas. Of course everyone knows that there will be edits made to the series which potentially would not have been made had the series aired at a later time on Adult Swim, which was decided to boost ratings among all ages, but Naruto fans should be happy to note that DVD releases will be uncut. You should also be happy to know that we are hearing technique names will stay true to the original Japanese series such as Kage Bunshin no Jutsu and of course the names of characters will remain unchanged. What will be editted? Any blood that flows out of characters and could be viewed as a graphic scene, Any battle scenes which could be viewed as graphic such as the battle on the bridge with Haku & Zabuza where Uchiha Sasuke has needles through his throat, Any ulta-graphic death scenes such as the exploding Zaku Abumi, Any "bad word". What won't be editted? Blood that does not flow out of characters in a graphic way, Naruto stabbing his hand in an early episode, The Sexy no Jutsu. It's worth it to note this is all preliminary information which could change at any time, infact it could be not true at all, but it doesn't seem like the series will stray too far away from the point we enjoy it at now. There's the edit rumors. And uncut DVDS! There we go! |

So far, I haven't seen anything horribly hacked up on the preview. Naruto was BLEEDING, even. |
