I watched it last night on Adult Swim, and I loved it, never expected less from the people behind Cowboy Bebop.

Did anyone else see it? Comments?

Yeah, it's pretty sweet. If you can afford it (and at Best Buy, it's fairly inexpensive), definitely by the DVDs.

I bought the series from the currently-going-out-of-business import shop near my house. Pretty badass.

The fighting is covered well with the animation, but I think the battles could be more detailed and show better moves and attacks. When they were fighting the army of samurai guards they beat most of them with one swing, or a parry and a counter. I would have liked to see them fight five at once.

If the two were to fight each other to the death, who do you think would win? I think Jean would win because he is level headed, skillful, and disciplined.

Also, don't forget about the guy who set fire to the restaurant. They will probably have to fight him later in the series. It would be great to see a series where there are weaklings that they slice right through, and then skilled warriors that have special techniques, some so strong that it forces Mugen and Jean to work together.

Mugen really reminds me of Spike from Bebop.
Must be the hair.

Due to those empty spaces between the spoiler tags, I waited like a fool for some pics to load. Nice trick.

I like the concept of musical themes. Bebop used a blues theme, while Champloo uses a hip-hop theme...much to the chagrin of some people.

Good series. I'd download the fansubs if I still had a tv-out.

I pray Adult Swim doesn't do the same thing to this that they did to Cowboy Bebop: Rerun it into oblivion.

If memory serves me correctly, the credits say his name is spelled Jin. Great show, although I originally doubted it. I hated that it took Fullmetal Alchemist's place. That sucked.
