FoxFire, it could've been MUCH worse.

Afterall, what if 4Kids got dubbing rights?

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Don't even mention that. ;__________;

That'd be like totally trashing the series.

Then again, I have watched the entire Japanese Series... [Except the fillers, I don't bother with those...]
But alas, It's My opinion, and you have the right to like it or to hate it. I don't have a problem about how you see it, but in my point of view, the characters could've been captured better.

He has a point. He can say what he wants. We can choose to agree or to not agree.

I'm just greatful that we have it now, but you're allways going to get those purist otaku who are never going to be satisfied no matter what anime you are dealing with. but yeah I'm also happy that 4krap didn't get ahold of Naruto.

4kids phylosophy to dubbing anime:
step 1: throw out the origonal script but keep the core story.

step 2: write a new script full of lame puns, jokes, and current street slang.

step 3: edit out all blood, sexual refferences, and dirty jokes.

step 4: hire voice actors to do voices for characters that don't fit at all.

step 5: release the watered down anime to the masses and then get flamed by anime fans everywhere!

Inferno, you forgot to add step 6, which is to give someone David Lucas's voice, or something that sounds like it. He's been in just about every single anime that ever has appeared on Cartoon Network or someone who sounds like him.

And Naruto's "Manga only" if meant to be enjoyed, FoxFire Master. Both the English AND Japanese versions feature some of the worst voice acting ever, which is why the Manga's better than the anime in about 85% of the cases anyways.

How is something a year old on the internet "super old"?

Although, yes, Naruto has been declining quite a bit in the latest Jap. eps.

Well, the Chunnin(sp?) exam story arc is coming up, and I hope that the following will happen:

Garaa's voice is spot on and well done(Chance of happening: 75%)

Lee's voice being well done(Chance of happening: 60%)

All other character's voices being well done( Chance of happening: 70%)

All the fighting goodness staying intact, with most of the blood and gore staying intact(Chance of happening: 55%)

Comments?

Don't really care anymore on the voices. Don't really WATCH anymore.
STILL. The fighting + No blood = Bad thing.
Why? Because a person does not bleed water when he's stabbed multiple farkin' times. -____-;

Blood doesn't make an anime all high and powerful. It just keeps the realism in (Or what's left, with manga like Bobobo that's too crah-zay) with violence. There's still blood in it, if you weren't so blind. And what about water bleeding? If you're talking about the Zabuza arc where the Water Clones are slashed in half, but the entire body splashes as water, I haven't noticed blood in the subs. If it's somewhere else, direct my attention to it.

And if you don't care, why do you keep posting in this topic? It discussing the dubbed anime, not *****ing and moaning about how much blood was taken out and not watching it for weeks.

No, I'm not referring to the Water clones that Zabuza made, I'm not dumb enough to not figure they were clones made outta water. -__-;
But no, I don't think that the blood makes it "High and powerful", but rather that seeing the *Stab.* *Splash of blood sound effect*, Then Saliva coming out your motuh and your stomach full of blood as the same as the floor just loses feeling to what just happenned. I'm not rying to whine and moan, as you call it, about how the blood was taken out, I'm just saying, it doesn't feel the same. O_o

Well, last episode revealed Temari, Kankuro, and Gaara's voices, and they were perfect!

Temari: Her voiced captured her personality perfectly, kudos to the voice actor!

Kankuro: Not as good as Temari's voice, but it was passable...

Gaara: Now how should I put it? Well, picture Gaara's Japanese voice speaking perfect english, in other words, Gaara's voice is completely perfect, no flaws at all, his voice was the most well-dubbed of all the characters in Naruto so far, well done!

I'd be able to overlook the voice work, however, if the show weren't so cripplingly boring to begin with.

I wonder if Orochimaru is going to have the girly-sounding voice like he does in the Japanese version?
