| *Admin* "mine.. not yours. NO. MINE." Epic Ladynerd Join Date: Jul 2000 Location: Forteresse de Valois Gender: Posts: 23,752 Thanks: 281 Thanked 513 Times in 359 Posts | Since the first time in the history of ever I actually wanted something specific for my birthday, my father-type-creature decided it was all cool to order me the boxset of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Does anyone else have a massive love-fascination for boxsets? Do you have a complete DVD/video set of any anime? Are you highly careful with the cases and such and keep them almost as collectables, besides opening to watch? ...I intend on adding to my collection. The glee I get from seeing the shinypretties of my Cowboy Bebop and GitS boxsets sitting there... *sighs* And yes, if it weren't for the fact that I must repeatedly watch my anime, I would've definitely kept them both unopened and in perfect condition. |

It was around $60, I think. And I do love it so!! I just wish they'd make a second season, mmm... |

I currently don't own any anime box sets, but I do have sets for Futurama and Garfield and Friends. Well, when I get home, I'll probably pick up that Fruits Basket set. Amazon.com wants about $20 more for it. ![]() Where are these lemmings going? The Super Nintendo Super Shire! Hop in line and follow them there! |

No big deal most of the time, since most of the extras aren't that interesting anyway. However, there are few things as satisfying as filling up a box by buying the discs seperately. Or few things as expensive. Whatever. I still love my complete Azumanga Daioh, Galaxy Angel, and Cromartie High School boxes. |

Gender: Posts: 243 Thanks: 6 Thanked 4 Times in 4 Posts | ^^ I doubt you can go wrong with Furuba! It just made me happy to read that someone else might be getting it, too! ^-^ If anybody out there ever watches it for the first time, I recommend English. Yes, I really did say English. Oh, I did forget, though it's not really a box set,I have the first half of Ceres: Celestial Legend on DVD. It all came in one case, so it's not quite as fulfilling, but it's still pretty cool, though I wouldn't say the anime's the best. Me gusta la manga. ...Wait, I just said I like the sleeve... Sorry, I couldn't resist! >.<;; |

| Well, I have the Bubblegum Crisis 2040 set, and a set of 3 movies in Matrix packaging (Akira, GITS and Ninja Scroll). I am dearly hoping to get the Midori Days boxset for Christmas. You see GITS on SBS, Saria? | |

I've seen it range from $30-$120). But I own Evangelion, LAIN (I need to get it back from someone I dont' talk to anymore... may prove a toughie), and Tenchi Muyo!. Gotta love it. |

Most series I bought on a chapter-by-chapter basis, but I have boxsets of both 'Record of Lodoss War' serii and the first two seasons of 'Ranma 1/2', along with 'Outlaw Star', 'Evangelion', 'Noir', and 'Trigun'. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |
