Why is it that most games with anime suck?

Because the companies know rabid fans like you will buy their products, no matter how sucky, so they invest little time into making them.

Im not a fan of todays anime though, only the older, like GW.

Gundam wing? They made a game off that? I thought they only made Zionic Front games (shows what I know, eh?)

They've made quite a few Gundam Wing games. Some of them may have only been available in Japan, but there are some for the PS2.

Are we talking about games based on anime (Magic Knight Rayearth, the Gundam Wing games), or anime based on a game (Star Ocean EX)?
