Anime doesn't tend to be better than American Animation...Because a lot of people fail to realize that Japan has as many "Crappy-TV series/Animes" as the U.S does *Cough*BOBOBO!*cough*. Anyone who has seen the crap that wasn't popular enough to make it out of Japan would know what I'm talking about... And be thankful that it hasn't escaped. ;p |

That little emo brat needs to die. I hope he gets impaled by Goemon's Zantetsuken. And stop listing anime that isn't even in America yet. The problem with subs is that they expect you to get Japanese-themed jokes. I'll give you Escaflowne, Lupin the III, Paranoia Agent, Death Note, and Samurai Champloo. But you're taking that out of a list of hundreds of milked series. In my eyes, anime typically gets milked until the end of the series. At least cartoons get cancelled by corporate big-shots if it sucks too much. Unfortunately, it doesn't always happen. |

| Gunjinkeeper | I remember sitting up and listing one-hundred anime me and a friend could think of from memory. Only about half of them were worthwhile. Though, we could have done the same with american cartoons and only about one third would be worthwhile. As I idiotically stated earlier, I prefer anime. |

On topic, American cartoons beat the crap out of anime anyday. Prime example: Beavis and Butthead. It's funny, it doesn't follow lame storylines, the Characters all have an important characteristic that is important to them, and well, everything else. |

| Gunjinkeeper | ^WHAT?! No. Everything you said about B and B (which I admit to enjoy occasionally) is right except the important character thing. No character from Beavis and Butthead is important for anything other than cannon fodder. And I resent the phrase "stupid storylines". It represents lack of tastes. And most storylines in Anime aren't stupid. Example: Death Note, bitch. Everything about that is artful. Still, you did at least cite one of the cartoons I don't utterly hate into the ground. Kudos. |

![]() **Desk bang** Most storylines? How much anime do you watch? Inuyasha, Hamtaro, Dragon Ball GT, Naruto, Pokémon, and more. These anime suffer from horrible plots. So tell me, don't you think all cartoons have horrible plots if we go by Death Note standards? | |

| Gunjinkeeper | 1: I don't watch any of those. At all. I even stopped watching Naruto. I judge American animation based on the bull**** I've seen and the better stuff that outweighs ot on Anime's side. DN is a prime example. 2: Yes. Satisfied? If I were still Von Karma, I would've posted more, but that objection really wasn't much to argue with. No offense. |

You must, it was only days ago. Go watch Heavy Metal. Edit: Actually nevermind, you're probably too young for it. Last edited by Wyborn; 05-20-2007 at 08:22 PM. |
