I'm pretty sure I read a Stephen King short story (or Neil Gaiman, I can't remember) that had a concept more or less very similar to this.

i love deathnote,and ppl say i remind them of L,i look,sound,and act like him,icluding biting my thumb,but i have been like this for years,WAY b4 deathnote came out,so im the original L XD
