This manga is brilliant. A beautiful work of art, not only in the sense of the art itself, but also in the story. It tells the fictionalized story of Musashi himself, the "Sword Saint", who is one of the most famous samurai ever to live. The manga itself is based on a book called, quite obviously, Musashi, and spans several volumes. Despite this, it is breathtaking, and is quite possibly the pinnacle of Samurai manga. If you like manga in general (and even if you dislike it), I recomment this. This is seriously awesome.

I've read about 3 volumes, and I'm hooked. I read it because I loved Basilisk, Rurouni Kenshin, and many other semi-realistic samurai/ninja manga, so I decided to broaden my scope.

It is award winning for a reason, this is just good stuff.

Seriously, go. Read. Now.
