This is an anime about a virtual reality computer game. It's rather like a MMORPG, but you "become" the character. The main character, a male wizard(which are supposedly rare in the game), is unable to log out for some reason.

Personally, I find this anime to be somewhat boring and difficult to watch, though it has its moments.

Your thoughts?

I like the show alot. People say its real confsuing, but it starts to make sense as you learn about the situation in the games and such.

Wavemasters (wizards) are only rare when they happen to be without a group. Which holds true in the games.

(I have a feeling I know who and what sort of post is going to respond to this.)

I love the series to death. Crim and Sora > you.

The games are a lot of fun, too.

.hack//sign is pretty good. I've only seen the first couple episodes, but I like it so far.

I don't find the anime confusing....I guess it's just not the kind of anime I go for. It's just really boring to me for some reason.

Your feeling is absolutely right.

I suppose I ought to congratulate its makers on its successful marketing ploy on successfully duping certain people into buying an anime series, 4 video game RPGs--each of which is 1/4 the length of a normal RPG--, an OAV series, and a second TV series about such a boring and nonsensicle story, set in a MMORPG, about some raving maniacs.

Thats your opinion. And I won't argue with you about it. I'll give you the games, but considering your comments on the anime other than the OVA...obviosuly you haven't seen the final episodes of Evangelion. Though those were pretty much the creator's middle finger at the fans who were begging for closure in the series.

"You want an ending? You want a ****ing ending? I'll give you an ending! And you'll rue the day you dared to tell me how to end my series! *insert evil laugh here*"

The show in terms of story I think is pretty similar to Noir where it seems to be too much. Then again thats not some peoples thing.

And don't insult me about the 2nd series. That was Bandai and Bandai alone who ****ed around with that ****. Even regular .hack fans consider it to be complete ****.

I wonder who your referring to.

you forgot the manga...and that the OAV comes with the games....then again the Japanese market are getting the 4 OAVs they already have along with the bonus episode 28 of //SIGN and some theatrical thingy for the second series. So you see if anyones getting screwed, were only getting one for the games.

^No no! Anime in general is man's greatest achievement, like Cyborg 009 and Lupin the third.
