Bishounen and bishoujo: cute guys/girls (in that order of term) that rabid Anime fans worship and cling to pictures of and stare at and drool. Known victims of this syndrome: Vash the Stampede, Sesshoumaru, Seto Kaiba--and that's just mainstream.

So only bad anime has bishounen/bishoujo as main (good/bad) characters? That covers a wide range of them.

No, but it's a pretty good example of the narrow view that lead to the statement that every main character in anime/manga is either a bishonen or bishojo.

As for your second statement, there's a logic error. My previous post is interpreted as "if an anime has a bishonen/bishojo main character, then it's bad." "If an anime doesn't have a bishonen/bishojo main character, then it's not bad" is its inverse and not necessarily true, even if the original statement were true (it wasn't, by the way).
