| Guest | Who do you think is the biggest anime badass? In my opinion, it's definitely Hajime Saito from Rurouni Kenshin. He's Kenshin's old rival from the wars, and he works now as a cop; a purely badass cop. I don't know, but I just feel this pure awesomosity radiate off his body whenever he's on screen or something. And the scene where he busts through the door and dashes at Shishio, saying something like "Shihio, you head is mine!" and then (almost) stabs him in the head is one of my alltime favorite moments in Kenshin. Seijuro Hiko comes in an extremely close second place, but he didn't get enough screentime in the series. Spike Spiegel, Vash the Stampede, Knives, Wolfwood, Hawk-Eyes Mihawk(from One Piece), Sanji(also One Piece) are up on my list, too. |

But I would pick Shishio as my second, not Hiko (unless you count Samurai X, even then it's still close). Don't forget Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho. I need to broaden my horizons with some new anime. Don't forget Krillin from DBZ and Ash from Pokemon! |

| Guest | Man, Ash isn't badass. I could maybe see krillin, but not Ash. Yeah, I counted Hiko from the movies, because look at the scene where he saved Kenshin from the robbers; it looked like me made them freaking explode! Shishio was pretty badass, but he just got downright cheap by the end of his arc. I mean, who the hell wears a metal headband incase someone decides to stabd them there? There's a fineline between "very prepared" and "downright cheap." Hiei was badass, but I also think Kuwabara's pretty badass. Maybe I'm biased because I love his character so much, heh. |

| Guest | ^ Ah yes. That's my favorite episode; it was done as more or less a tribute to the Batman animated series. Speaking of Cowboy Bebop, Cowboy Andy was pretty awesome, even though he was mainly comic relief EDIT: Oh yeah, speaking of Saito's badassness, I found out what his motto, "Aku Soku Zan" translates to: "Kill Evil Instantly." That is incredibly badass, if you ask me. [ February 10, 2004, 10:16 PM: Message edited by: Captain Carter ] |

| Guest | I'll bet you guys didn't know that Saitou was a real person. Everything it says about him in the series is true (but none of the events of the actual story are true). This goes not only for Saitou, but all other Shinsengumi members portrayed in the series. Namyar RULES!!! | Guest | Even the Gatotsu(Saito's special technique) existed. Well, kind of. The Shinsengumi specialized in a special stabbing technique, whose name escaped me for the moment. The author(whose name also escapes me at the moment) modified it a bit into the Gatotsu. The author also received a lot of hate mail regarding how Saito was portrayed. |

I didn't know the Gatotsu was based off of a real technique, though. You guys didn't actually think I was serious about Krillin and Ash, right? |
