Exploring the other aspect of "touching" scenes--the warm an fuzzy ones, in order of recall:

1. .hack//SIGN - the ending, when Tsukasa is released from the hospital, and the real life scenes change from shades of brown to technicolor.

2. Big O - when the gigantic tree grew and burst through the dome at New Year's Eve, a pillar of hope in such a desolate landscape.

3. Doraemon - when Doraemon leaves to return to the future, and Nobita learns to stand on his own, waking up early next morning. Fortunatelyand unfortunately, this lasted until an accident with an April Fool's joke tool brought Doraemon back.

I really need to watch more .hack//SIGN. The reason I'm not watching it now is because I got lost because my sister kept erasing the .hack//SIGN recordings on my TiVo. >:[

Yeesh,he's a fictional character. That's exactly why entertainment is an outlet. It has no bearing on anything else.If you meet a person that likes Mario,do you think it devalues their humanity because they look up to a person who mercilessly slaughters goombas who might've just wanted to be friends? If it gets to the point where which character someone likes is of the standard you judge them by,it's not entertainment anymore.

His point is that Legato was just a murdering psychopath with no motive behind his evil intentions outside of doing things for the sake of doing them - he didn't apparently have any past traumas to warp him, he had no real reason to hate Vash, he only served Knives because Knives said so....

He had a purpose but no reason. Admiring something like that is openly admiring inhumanity. It's not that he feels scorn because they admire a fictional character - it's because they like a fictional character who is evil for the sake of being evil. It makes no sense.

.Hack//Sign: I always thought any of Tsukasa's flashbacks were so sad, especially the first one when she was feeding a starving little kitten and her father just ups, pushes Tsukasa away, and grabs the kitten by the back of the neck.

Sailor Stars: I cried a little when the four inner scouts were killed by Sailor Galaxia, also when Neptune and Uranus die together, feeling that they had really failed and deserved to go to hell, trying to reach for each other's hands as they faded away. *whimper*

I thought the end of 'Wings of Honneamise' was cool and inspiring.
