| Guest | ---Definte Definte Spoilers---- Post scenes that you made you cry/feel sad, or post scenes you found really touching. Sad Scenes: Now i've never actually cried, but there were some scenes that were reallllly sad. Grave of the Fireflies (full of them) Although it made me chuckle a bit too, when Setsuko learned of their mother's death, she and Seita sit on the playground for a moment. Then he runs over to the Pullup bar thingie trying to cheer her up and begins to do flips on it, just as she begins to cry. The ending, where Seita has cremated his sister and is reminscing about her. The scene after they're playing with the fireflies. Seita wakes up to find Setsuko burying the fireflies. "Why do fireflies die so young?" Not really so much as sad, but I really pitied Excel, when she returns to Across hq at the end of the fist of the north star paroday, asking ot be let back in. You see Illpalazo at the top staring coldly. She begins to chatter, when he brings a gun out and shoots her. She just looks so absolutely stunned and betrayed. Fushigi Yuugi: Nurikio's death When Tamahomae was being controlled by the poison Yui and Nacago gave him, and was attacking Miyaka. Especially when he ripped up the letter. Trigun: Sin and Live through: Seeing Vash suffer like that was just sad. Bebop: Faye's reaction to Spike leaving to go fight vicious. Spike's bang. Ed's farewell. Sorcerer Hunters: Watching Xaha Torte kill off all of Carrot's friends who are trying to protect him so the god of destruction isn't released. ---Most touching Moments--- His and her Circumstances: Tsubasa, when her father announces he's getting remarried and she meets her brother. She begins to not hate everyone. Pretty touching. Flcl: Naota's I love you to haruko. Just one of the best scenes period. The fight, despite being short, the i love you, the artwork with atomsk being released, and a great ending. Slayers Next: Lina casts the Giga Slave to save Gourry, but is consumed by it. Gourry however goes after her refusing to let her go. Ending to all three Slayers series. Happy endings done right. Fushigi yuugi's ending. I love you was a perfect way to end it. That's all i can think of. |

| Guest | Rurouni Seisouhen--the movie ending of the Samurai X/Rurouni Kenshin anime. The whole movie deals with Kenshin and Kaoru, so obviously it deals more with Rurouni Kenshin than Samurai X. If you watch the movie through to the ending, it really is extremely moving, ESPECIALLY if you're familiar with Kenshin in his prime. |

| Guest | Trigun: Wolfwood's death The end of the "Sin" episode. The beginning of the "Live Through" episode, where Vash wakes up, just sits there horrified, then when Meryl walks out of the room and shuts the door you hear this horrified scream. Cowboy Bebop: Gren's flashbacks of him and Vicious on Titan. The end of "Pierrot le Fou" when Pierrot was on the ground crying and then gets stepped on by the parade. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him.. The end of the movie, the whole dialogue of the Spike and Vincent fight, up to Vincent's death. One Piece: The flashback of Sanji and Zeff meeting, when Sanji finds out that Zeff gave him all of the food and he had been sitting there starving for about 40 days. (In the manga, Zeff cut his leg off to feed himself) Nami's whole past with Arlong taking over Kokayashi Island and Bellemere getting killed. Usopp's little self-speech when he stands up to fight Chu, one of Arlong's top men. Tony Tony Chopper's past. Poor little reindeer. ![]() |

| Guest | It's precisely the Legato worshipping that makes some of the sentimentality expressed in this thread rather unbelievable. Were it not for the emotional trauma Vash suffered, I would have been overjoyed at the extermination of a vermin like him. |

| Guest | I would say that the writers behind Trigun so successfully created a villain in Legato that any positive regard shown to him more than an intellectual concession that he was fit for a villain's role devalues the humanity of the admirer in my eyes. I think I will juxtapose sentimentality with contempt for a segment of humanity. Were it not for my young age when I saw Unico--and thus an incessant fear of Kuruku, the evil unstrung puppet--, I would've been quite sad when Toby and her sister were turned into blocks. The emotional impact was there even when I knew it was going to happen several years later, when I stopped being afraid of Kuruku. |
