WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS THIS WILL APPLY TO THE ANIME ONCE THEY FINALLY DECIDE TO START THE PHOAROH'S MEMORIES SAGA.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED

Basically Yami's real name is revealed to be Atemu. Now Yugi and Atemu msut duel to determine the fate of Atemu. For you dubbies: Anzu is Tea, Jounouchi is Joey.

The outcome of the duel will determine Atemu's fate. If Yugi wins the duel, Atemu will move onto the afterlife and leave the living world behind. If Atemu can win the duel, he gains the right to stay in the current world and keep his newfound body.

Atemu: 2500 LP
Yugi: 1000 LP

Atemu uses Raise Dead (Reborn the Monster) to bring Saint Dragon Osiris back to the field. Yugi currently has a monster with an attack strength of 3500 on his side as well as a magic/trap card that brought a box, like the one the Millennium Puzzle had originally came in, on the field. Yugi opens the box to reveal another Raise Dead. The card cancels out Atemu's Raise Dead and Osiris returns to the graveyard.

Atemu's field is empty and he knows he has lost. He has 2500 LP but Yugi's monster has an attack of 3500. Yugi's hands begin to shake as he grips his cards tightly. Tears blur the edge of his vision. Atemu simply watches Yugi, his expression resolute and strong.

Come... Aibou...

The duel is brought to an end with a bright flash of light. Jounouchi, Honda, and the rest look on in shock as Anzu bows her head, fighting back tears of her own. Yugi falls to his knees, his tears flowing freely now. Atemu makes his way over to Yugi and lays his hand on the other boy's shoulder. I wonder if they realized that this is the first time they've touched, true flesh to flesh. Atemu tries to comfort Yugi as best as he can.

Their time is short together. The Wadjet Eye on the door before the Pharaoh Memories begins to glow. The door slowly opens. A bright light is shining through the opening.

"Yugi!" They cried in unison. Anzu tries to convince Atemu to stay but even Jounouchi knows the former king must leave. Atemu throws them a thumbs-up as he walks into the light. The light washes over Atemu and they witness him in all the glory of his attire as Pharaoh. Atemu does not look back as he vanishes into the light. One can barely see the forms of the five Priests, Shimon Mura, and Atemu's father waiting on the other side.

The door closes and all is silent. The temple begins to shake though. The Pharaoh's Memories cracks apart and the Millennium Items disappear into a hole that forms beneath. The pillars supporting the temple collapse and the rest of the temple soon follows. Looking back, one can see the faint figure of Shadii watching them leave. They stand together under the hot Egyptian sun as the fact of Atemu's departure sets in.

The Pharaoh's story has come to an end... But it has been an experience that they will never forget...

Yugi looks up at the sun. He is no longer crying.

The End

Well, I'm just happy it's not another neverending story, like Pokemon.

...Wait, are you referring to the manga or the anime. The topic says "magna," *snicker* but I get the impression you are all referring to the anime...Well it doesn't matter. Yu-Gi-Oh is one of the more stupid anime/manga I've seen.

Anyway,...Bleh..Too many people pay no respect to good manga/anime series simply because of the ass-sucking english version.

What else did you expect from 4Kids? The only good dub they've put out is Sonic X, but that's it. But yeah 4Kids should cut back on their editing

The manga (or what I have read of it, which is only the first few chapters) is pretty darn good. It's about random assortments of games, and far more interesting than the anime.

I know I've said this a billion times already but the first season was my favorite.Like Silvie said, I mostly enjoyed it because of the random assortments of games.

The second season, Duelist Kingdom, was all right but by the time Yu-Gi-Oh reached the third season, Battle City, I found it boring since it focused too much on the real trading card game rules (which I find boring as well). I've only recently started watching the show again now that they're in the virtual world again (those episodes were my favorite).

The duel with Pegasus was probably one of my favourite battles in Anime history.

I still watch the show despite all the editing done in the dub(though I still have seen some unedited episodes as well). I liked the Battle City saga the best. The Virtual world saga we're currently in is alright, but I don't find it to be all that interesting.

They are going to finish Battle City eventually right? I've been waiting for them to get back into the semi-finals for a while now.

I stopped watching when some guy named "Merreck" was like posessed or something after Joey kicks this one guy who pretends to be Merreck into oblivion.

The "first season" was an absolute failure, so they re-made the series from green-haired Kaiba to brown-haired Kaiba. That's the one we have these days.

Bah, the game actually made sense when they got to Battle City.

^Kaiba had green hair?

Some guy at school said he had PURPLE hair and they edited it to brown because the people in Japan hated it.

Yeah I remember seeing a few pictures with a green haired Kaiba. I never knew that until now though...

It's "Marik". Though, I thought "Malik" was a better name. I wonder why 4kids edited that, it's unnecessary.

I personally can barely stand to watch the English dub anymore, especially after seeing the episodes uncut in Japanese. I mean, comparing the two you really see how horrible the editing is. For instance, no one dies, they get sent to the "Shadow Realm", and even little stuff like the real reason marik didn't want to become a Tomb Keeper or even my favorite duels (Kaiba VS Isis, Yugi VS Noah) were ruined in English when they took out that really cool music (I loved the orchestra background, made it seem so much better).
