Anime Top 10 Poll March 17 2004

Since i forgot to do this last night, it'll just count on the 17th.

not doing results from last week since there are only three fully done ones, so not much point.

This week's top 10 poll, top 10 favorite main characters. No sidekicks or supporting characters.

also, i'll take suggestions on future polls, although the next few weeks will most likely be about characters. I'll be doing mine later.

Wow, main characters, huh?

Come to think about it, there really aren't any main characters I really like alone. I mean Tsukasa is a drama queen, Serena's a crybaby, Miaka is a ditz, Yugi seems to make everything life and death, Setsuna is not where as good as the Manga AS, the Digimon main characters are all scrawny meatheads, the main character from X was too dramatic as well . . .

LoL, ummm . . . I guess, maybe, Haruko from FLCL . . . oh, unless she is technically not the main character?

EDIT: Nah, forget Haruko, she's not the main character of FLCL anyway.

Heh i had a bit of trouble on this one too. Although i managed to find characters i liked.

Mine

1. Vash (Trigun) He's kindhearted, he cares about people, he's powerful and can be pretty badass at times (see diablo). He's funny. He belives incredibly strongly that no one has the right to take the life of another, and i can admire that, even if it did put his friends into bad situations sometimes.

2. Lina Inverse (Slayers) She's funny, she's powerful, she makes a great heroine.

3. Excel (excel saga) Possibly the most insane character ever created. She's funny and a great character.

4. Yusuke Urameshi (Yu Yu Hakusho) Yusuke's yet another great character. He's powerful, yet still finds himself overmatched in many fights, often winning due to luck (at least in the beginning) he's funny, He cares about his friends a lot.


5. Yukino Miazawa (His and her circumstances) I guess arima and her are both the main characters. Funny character, with an interesting personality. She is a bit on the psychotic side sometimes

6. Kenshiro (fist of the north star) Lol, he's possibly one of the biggest badasses ever. He can take on any opponent. He's just so powerful compared to who he fights its funny. He's got great lines (well cheesy is more like it, but i like them) "You're already a dead man." "You have 7 seconds to live."

7. Carrot Glaice (Sorcerer Hunters) For once, he's not exactly the all powerful main character. Except immunity to magic, he really has no powers. He's also perverted, which leads to some good humor.

8. Spike Siegal (Cowboy bebop) Very cool past and conflict with vicious, i just wish they had spent much more time on it. He had (Spoilers........................................ a great death, with one of the coolest endings ever.................... (/spoilers) I like his personality, he's very laid back.

9. Domon Kashu (G gundam) Domon imo, is a very likable character. He has a lot of life in him, he's strong, he's loyal, if he can be a bit of an ass sometimes.

10. Gene Starwind (outlaw star) Gene was a great character, funny, badass, and overall just likeable.

Wow..That really..limits it..I usually prefer the supporting characters..I'll have to think for a bit before I do this.

Yea, i just felt like doing main characters this week. Next week i'll probably do supporting characters.

...I don't like Hitomi from Escaflowne. There are times where I sympathise with her, but oy, what she does to Millerna...


Hm. Naota (FLCL), Luffy (One Piece), Spike (Bebop), Naruto (Naruto), Sana (Child's Toy),

I think this is so difficult because main characters aren' supposed to be totally likable or pleasent. I mean they always have some huge character flaws that have to grow and heal in the show's run. I mean would you rather see a character that has problems and personality run the show, or a perfect character that never needs anything?

BTW, I was thinking, maybe fore the next one you should do best Music. Might be a nice change to have characters only every other one. And truth be told, Music is a lot easier.
