| Guest | This week's top 10 poll is favorite characters (any character, don't care if it repeats any of the following lists). This is my last character poll for awhile then next week i'll go onto something else. My internet went down last week so i couldn't post. Possible spoilers 1. Excel (Excel saga) She just blew me away. So completely insane, random. Excel saga wouldn't even be worth watching without her, although i think that's sort of obvious. 2. Vash (trigun) Vash made a great lead. Funny, serious when he needed to be. Kind. He's a pacifist with perfect gun skills is capable of mass destruction, can be bad ass. 3. Legato (trigun) My favorite villian of all time. I love how legato is just insane. Sin was also a great episode, one of my favorites of any series. 4. Haruko (FLCL) Haruko will always remain one of my favorite characters. She's funny, and random. She's an alien who fights with a guitar, she can pull stuff out of people's head. And the fight against the giant hand in the 5th episode with her in the bunny suit was just classic suit. 5. Ed (cowboy bebop) Ed was a great character. She was just so goofy, funny and cute. I couldn't help but like her 6. Xaha Torte See the top 10 fav. villians poll 7. Vicious (Vicious) See the top 10 fav. villians poll 8. Lina Inverse (Slayers) See the top 10 fav. heroes poll 9. Omniboshi (Fushigi yuugi) I really liked him. First of all, bards are one of my favorites in roleplaying games, and he sort of fits that. I also liked his part after he fell in the river. Except for the flute part, i'd be like him in the series. 10. Kuwabara (Yu Yu hakusho) I can't help but like him. He's respectable for his actions, his determination, his honor, plus he's funny and really is loyal to his friends. Again, i welcome any suggestions. |

| Guest | No particular order, and I probably won't do 10. - Usopp (One Piece): he's just a really fun and hilarious character. Watching him fight people with his slingshot, wacky tricks and gadgets is pretty funny, as is watching him run away. He's just the kind of character I like; kind of goofy, comic-relief-ish, and an underdog, but comes through when needed. Sing the praises of Captain Usopp! - Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho): I love Kuwabara, he's probably the only character I really like in Yu Yu Hakusho. Not only does he serve as pretty good comic relief at times, but he's also very honorable and badass. Again, he's that kind of character I like; kinda goofy and looked down upon, but good-hearted, strong-willed, determined, and perhaps one of the strongest when things get tough. - Master Asia (G Gundam): Master Asia is just the sole epitome of badassosity and awesome-ness. - Captain Buggy (One Piece): The pirate clown that starts off as an early villain! At first he's just kind of a jerk, but during/after his little mini-arc(Little Buggy's Big Adventure!), his personality develops even more, and he becomes pretty awesome. He's the kind of villain I like; kind of goofy, comical, but still pretty awesome and definitely determined. Bara Bara Festival! - Tony Tony Chopper (One Piece): Probably my second favorite out of the Strawhat Pirates, he's on here mainly because a human reindeer that's also a skilled doctor is probably the most unique character I've ever heard of. He's incredibly cute and funny to watch, too. The guy that did Japanese pikachu did his voice as well. - Vash the Stampede (Trigun): I just love Vash because he has such a great personality; goofy, kind-hearted, but serious and badass when the time called for it. I also like him because I think I'm like him in a number of ways. - Beck Gold (Big O): Another of those goofy, inept, yet determined villains that I love. Beck and his robots are just awesome. The Greatest Villain is the best episode ever. - Schwarzwald (Big O): A mummified, derranged journalist is another of those awesomely unique character designs. I also love his crazed rants and Big Duo. - Kamon(Naota's dad) (FLCL): Kamon is just hilarious. A goofy, wacky dad. I love him. - Totosai (InuYasha): Totosai is just awesome. | Guest | 1. Nobita Nobi (Doraemon) He's not exactly a model human being, but he's fun to watch. There is a certain amount of bathos about him that it makes him not really sympathetic but a character of immense interest. 2. Doraemon (Doraemon) Short tempered nanny to perhaps one of the biggest losers on the planet--the aforementioned Nobita. Doraemon tend to over-react to everything around him, best examplified by his fear of mice. The two are quite a pair. 3. Yuzuki (Chobits) She is elegant in spite of, or perhaps because of, the elaborate maid costume that she usually wears. She is nice and polite--to stranger and master alike--, and she always seek to help. What brings her up from the list of likeable but not favorite characters to here is probably that I miss my cousins. 4. Keroberos (Card Captor Sakura) The powerful Guardian Beast of the Seal, who looks like a stuffed animal, who loves sweets, who loves videogames, who has an Osaka accent--and a nasal voice, but I don't know if that's part of having an Osaka accent or just his way of speaking. Kero is always good for a comedy relief, yet he is quite believable as the wise sage to which Sakura can turn in times of trouble. 5. Sakura Kinomoto (Card Captor Sakura) Given the amount of anti-dub sentiments in this fandom, I was tempted to write "Sakura Avalon" and "Cardcaptors," but I'm guessing there isn't much of its fandom here. In the original, she's silly and interesting to observe. In the dub, there is some sort of lethargic beauty to her (and the show). 6. Rick Hunter (Robotech: Macross) Ah, the quintessential hero of anime: a young person struggles with a giant mecha to rise to the status of a great soldier. Unlike the horde of Gundam heroes--mostly minors--, Rick is a believable--and thus more sympathetic--character. 7. Schwarzwald (Big O) He rants for most of his on screen time, and even when he isn't on the screen, his voice can be heard raving about something related to memory, most likely incoherent. That dub voice suits the insanity of the character perfectly. 8. Jiji (Kiki's Delivery Service) He was not too memorable in the original, but he was quite awesome in the dub. His voice had a whiny yet not annoying pitch that suits his role as Kiki's confidant in her endeavors. 9. Sebastian (The Little Mermaid) Hey, SL64 did say we can bring in non-anime here. It's rather sad that today, a character like Sebastian would probably be considered racist. His mock-Jamaican accent made him a rather unique character, and his attempt at keeping up his stern demeanor makes him quite lovable. 10. Norman Berg (Big O) He's a mild-manner butler who happens to be an expert in machine guns, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, and other sorts of kick-ass gadgets. Where else are you going to find a butler who can kick so much ass? Well, the guy from Hellsing, but with Walter you can actually believe he's capable of such stunts, which defeats the purpose of killer butlers altogether. |

| Guest | 10. Pan (Dragon Ball GT) The only GOOD character in DBGT. 9. Takato (Digimon Season 3) Takato's an excellent leader for the Digimon Tamers. He's pretty much the best leader in the whole Digimon series, because Tai certainly acted like a ****ing moron in Season 1 and Davis was probably the biggest jerk of all time besides Ash Ketchum and Takuya is pretty much the stereotypical leader. 8. Misty (Pokemon) Yes, a Pokemon character. Misty, suprisingly, is one of the few characters in Pokemon who actually shows signs of Sanity besides Tracy. I know she has a crush on Ash and she only admits it in Pokemon the Movie 2000. 7. Haroku (FLCL) Weird lady...And I like the way she always hits everybody with her guitar and her shennanigans during the Manga scenes. 6. Vash (Trigun) Well DUH! How can you watch Trigun and NOT like Vash? 5. 007 Cyborg 007 is pretty funny. I like the way he transforms when he touches his belly button and he's pretty much the comedian of the 00 cyborgs 4. Kuwabara (Yu Yu Hakusho) Sure, I did say he acts like a jerk around Yukina, but see Round 2 of the Dark Tournament involving Dr. Ichigaki and you'll know why he's cool. 3. Guilomon (Digimon Season 3) Guilomon's pretty funny. I thought it was hysterical when he went into the school to play with "Takatomon" and when he couldn't digivolve back and my personal favourite was his bread obsession. "Guilomon bread! Guilomon bread! The only bread that's shaped like my head!" pretty much stuck in my head besides Terriermon's "Momentie!" catchphrase. 2. Haku (Spirited away) Now Haku is really cool. He really does care about Chihiro alot, he tries to make sure she doesn't lose all her memories about the human world while she's working for Yubaba and that she does not forget who her parents are. He also looks totally cool as a Dragon. He also Saved Chihiro when she was younger when she fell into his river. 1. Sango&Kirara (Inuyasha) Sango has had a really sad past, Sango's entire village was killed, her father was killed by Kohaku, and she even watched Kohaku's death and had wanted to kill him and then herself to free Kohaku from Naraku's control. And Kirara...I don't usually use words like this often but she is the most adorable creature since the Petit Dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh. Now THAT's one killer pet. ![]() |
