I sometimes watch anime you can only watch by buying it online or a store or something. I'm bored and I need a new anime to watch any one want to recommend one that would be good to watch? I already have fushigi yuugi, weiss kreuz, and inuyasha.

Naruto and Kenshin are the only two I'd suggest currently.

Thanks for the recommendations, stuff like kenshin, (bought the last season), yu yu hakusho, flcl, and cowboy bebop I've seen already but don't own. I'm thinking Bubblegum Crisis or Slayers.

And Wyborn, Weiss Kreuz is an alright anime its about four assasins Aya, Omi, Ken and Yohji and they have a new mission every episode. So some one always dies in an episode at least one person. Its made up of 25 episodes, quick anime not the best in the world but its worth watching in some episodes.

Well, as series go, 'Bebop' is class. I'd also recommend 'One Piece', 'Those Who Hunt Elves', 'Record of Lodoss War', 'Excel Saga', and 'Street Fighter II V'.

As for movies, there's 'Akira', but everyone's seen that. 'Jin-Roh' is brilliant, 'Metropolis' and 'Spriggan' are dead good, and I can't recommend 'Wings of Honneamise' highly enough.

I'll make a recommendation no one else has yet.

Vision of Escaflowne.

Completely and utterly masterful. Fantasy and anime at its absolute finest.

Seriously, please see One Piece. It and Naruto are the biggest anime in Japan; and it's no wonder. Both are awesome series. I'm actually pretty surprised that not lot of people on this forum have seen it.

Who could argue with pirates?

if you have bittorrent, you can get one piece fansubs here:

www.kaizoku-fansubs.com

they're about 100 episodes behind the current in Japan (they had a long period of inactivity because of the controversy of whether or not One Piece had been licensed; many people tohught FUNimation had the rights but they really didn't.), but the fansubs are of the greatest quality you'll ever find. Just don't go with the godawful hong kong subs..

Gunslinger Girl is pretty damned good, although it's also not able to purchased in any way. I don't think it even has a Japanese DVD yet.

But if you have a broadband internet connection, by all means use it.

Also... Haibane Renmei...

My one friend told me about that show saying it was the best anime she saw. I haven't even heard of it until she mentioned something. Maybe its worth getting, what is it about any way?

It's basically about a girl pulled into another world populated by knights who pilot organic mech called guymelefs. It deals with the concepts of Luck and Fortune and Destiny, and does it pretty heavily, as is to be expected - the main character (Hitomi) is something of a fortune teller, and tells many fortunes as the series go on. It's a very itneresting concept I can't quite spell out but it's much more interesting in practice.

I forgot to say Noir. I have heard that some people don't like the whole femme fatale thing, I usually don't care for it much myself, but Noir is pretty good.

Thumbs up

I'd recommend Lupin the Third, especially the Castle of Cagliostro. If you didn't like Lupin before, CoC will really change your mind.

Anyone that's into philisophical concepts and electronics should check out lain: serial experiments. My favorite, easily. Then again, I suppose I do have rather odd tastes.
