I wish 4kids dubbed DBZ and DBGT. Those are two animes that actually DESERVE being dubbed over by the company from hell. And I hope they run out of money so I can make some quick cash by giving dancing lessons on their grave.

(and I heard Shaman King is actually pretty good, but that may have been the Manga, and I think there is one)

Actually, the other day I actually got alot of amusement thinking up of ways on how 4Crap would mess up Naruto if they did dub it.

It'd be like Fox buying Slayers. They got it. What are they going to do? Cut up all the bad stuff and piece whats left together? Its impossible. Fox might have a better chance at showing...some of the content. But like I said. AS or Toonami are the only ones who could handle it. Plus Bandai or whoever did .hack would probabvly get the rights before anyone.

I'm glad networks don't have the guts to touch my favorite shows.

Trust me, 4kids won't change the color of the blood. They'll take it out completely, put in new music, re-word every single bit of the dialogue, take out any characterization whatsoever, and skip entire episodes if they have to. And no one will die, they'll all be send to 'the shadow realm' or something. And some names'll be changed.

The difference between 4kids and any other dubbing company is, others don't edit content into their dubs. They dub it, then they edit the TV version so they can release the real thing on DVD. Not 4kids. 4kids is the anime rapist.

This is a sad, sad day for North American anime fans...Think about it. If they butcher OP, they'll think nothing of butchering naruto. Naruto has the whole 'teamwork' thing going on, and characters that will appeal to 4kids' demographic.

Actually, I've beaten the game several times, and on occasion, it was red.

I think early copies of the game had red blood, but I'm not completely sure.

The part I find the most sickening is that, for a ligh-hearted anime/manga, One Piece has alot of violence. There is no "I'm gonna beat you", it's "You're dead, scum!". It's meant to be like an imaginary prate adventure. I know that when I was a little kid, I didn't make my G.I.Joes blow kisses at each other. Hell, I'd pull them apart to make it look more realistic and then piece 'em back together...

God...I'm 11 and I can handle the Naruto content, which I've heard can be worse than One Piece.

Here's a simple solution: PUT IT ON LATE AT NIGHT. Immature kids who can't handle it won't be able to see it.

Problem with that, especially when dealing with 4kids. 4kids makes their profits from younger audiences, the same audiences who buy YGO and Pokemon. 4kids doesn't make any money from targeting older audiences, so it is safe to say, if 4kids buys it, it will be altered to be viewed by their target age demographic: young children (most of the time, boys).

Quit whining and just read the manga and ignore the fact that there'll be an anime.

Man, shut up. I love One Piece, like I said, it's my favorite anime of all time. As someone who sincerely appreciates the series, I feel I have a right to feel angry that it's going to be screwed around with in this manner. If you think the people in this thread are "whining," you haven't seen how furious the One Piece fan community is. Yowza.

The problem with "just reading the manga" is that Viz's obvious ineptitude causes it to be released at a snail's pace. They can't release a new volume until all of the chapters have been released in their Shonen Jump magazine, and because of the length it takes them to edit and translate, they can only release one Jump issue a month, which will only contain one or two chapters. They've had One Piece manga in print for nearly a year; they've barely released 4 volumes of it!

'That there'll be an anime'? huh? There's already an anime, it's just that 4kids is about to butcher it so only importers and downloaders can see the real OP. US Shonen Jump will still be near the beginning of the series next year! Don't tell us to 'quit whining,' a great series is being completely mis-treated.
