Of course I was joking about 'Pokemon'. The Japanese version was actually a great deal like our own. Well, except for all the explicit sex scenes that got taken out. Yup. Believe it or not, the Japanese version was fairly brimming with coitus and nudity. Plus, every time Ash captured a new monster, he would fondle it inappropriately. Actually, the phrase 'Gotta catch 'em all!' is a subtle reworking of the original tagline, 'Time to molest Pikachu.' (I'll stop now.)

I am sorely disappointed that 'One Piece' is getting localised by 4Kids. You'd think that the most successful anime of all time would attract a distributor for the US that seems to know what it's doing (ADV, perhaps).

...on a lighter note...FUNimation is actually doing really well with Detective Conan. But it's hard to screw that show up.

Eh, honestly most times the American dub sucks compaired to the Japanese original anyway. If it isn't the editing or contont, its the voices, or just the fact that something just doesn't come through right translated than it is in its original text. If One Peice really turns out that bad, I'll just buy the Japanese with English subtitles instead.

Yep. It's a good show, and it seems they did a good job with it.

Now if One Piece fell into their hands, things would be cool. But God, why 4kids...

Well, One Piece wouldn't nessecarily be its best if FUNimations dubs it, but better FUNimations than 4kids.

FUNimation isn't that bad of a company. The main reason people badmouth it is because they didn't do a very good job with Dragonball Z when they first got in during the middle of the Namek arc. And let's face it, Bandai screwed up DBZ before FUNi got their hands on it.

I agree 100%. But it annoys me that if I want to watch OP, now I'll have to import. =/ This will also make OP a widely hated series in america, much like Yu-Gi-Oh.(Except for little kids)

DBZ was a screw-up the moment it aired.

And then the Namek arc hit and it just... there is no word...

DBZ would have been alot better if it didn't take weeks for them just to beat an enemy. sure, the Week-long-fights were good at first, but after they scream as if they had kidney stones for 3 episodes in a row, it's just boring.

How many DBZ characters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

^One Piece is an Anime/Manga series that is about Pirates, mostly. Naruto and OP are rivaling eachother for the most popular anime/manga in Japan.

Oh, and Naruto is another Anime/manga that is about kick-ass ninjas.

One Piece Mansion has nothing to do with One Piece.

And Douglas, that DBZ Lightbulb joke is so ridiculously old. no offense.

If they get it they'll make sure that "With the power of our friendship and teamwork we will always prevail" is said at least 20 times each episode. The dialogue will be crappified to an extent that it will make your ears pour out blood. And the names of objects will be changed, devil's fruit will become dark fruit or something.

I can't even see them touching Naruto... they'd have to completely cut out Zabuza's death scene.

The entire Chuunin exam, because of the Sand Ninjas trying to kill Konoha needed Gaara to do it. They'd skip the Hokage battle, because of the God of Death...Urgh.

Really guys, is 4Kids really all that bad? I mean, Shaman King, Yugi-Oh, and Pokemon were great shows full of plot twists, action, romance, and all sorts of great stuff!
