He's sided with the marvel heroes on a few occasions) - They each grant fractions of their own powers to those that agree to help them. Galactus grants his "powers cosmic" to whoever agrees to be his herald, such as the Silver Surfer. And Unicron granted power to Megatron and miscellaneous Decepticons, creating Galvatron and his minions. - They're both incredibly badass. ..and now I'm depressed that I took the time to think about this. What are some other geeky things you've thought about in your free time? |

| Guest | Heh, geeky anime things, huh? Well, I once sat down and thought long and hard why the anime Pokemon, which was really enjoyed when it came out, is now so hated with a vengence. And I started coming up with the reasoning that Ash always does the same thing, with the exact same Pokemon, with the exact same villians over and over again. I mean, as soon as Ash gets 6 Pokemon on his team we KNOW for the next like 30 episodes, its gonna be those 6 and ONLY those 6, no variation, no new Pokemon. So I wondered what if the show was instead based on Gary's way of training? Catching over a hundred Pokemon and constantly switching them so he almost always has a different party. Would the show be more accepted then? Would it be more interesting to have different stories involving different Pokemon with a trainer that really knew what he was doing . . . And yes, I actually did spend a whole afternoon brooding about this. ^_^ |

The Unicron vs. Galactus argument is one of the oldest argument in the history of deathmatches, in qide circulation since 1985. It's also one of the most brutal, and most-begrudged. Of course, though, Unicron would kick Galactus' ass. |

| Guest | Wow. The world is more depressing than I thought. Oh yeah, I forgot that each only fear one obscure object. Galactus fears a device that will destroy an entire galaxy and everything in it, including him, because a planet about to be devoured has nothing to lose. And Unicron, of course, fears the Autobot matrix. [ June 11, 2004, 10:22 PM: Message edited by: Captain Carter ] |

Shut your dirty mouths. You're all 'Yu-Gi-Oh' fans, now, and you can friggin' like it or you're fired.' |

Why, if 4Kids can rise above it and release four more direct-to-video 'Pokemon' flicks, they'll have it in the bag, yo. Here's something I was thinking about--why do 'Pokemon' submit to their human trainers? I mean, sure, I can see your average eleven-year-old being able to intimidate a rat or dog into doing his bidding, but what keeps, say, an Onix in thrall to its master? I mean, if I were a Gyarados or a Gengar or something, and some wienery little kid captured me, I'd just bide my time until he tried to use me in a battle, and then I'd eat him and escape into the wild. (Maybe Pokemon are too stupid to rise up and throw off the yokes of their bourgeoise masters.) [ June 12, 2004, 11:34 AM: Message edited by: Cap'n Boo from Timbuktu ] |
