Favourite anime movies

I'm pretty sure everyone's going to say a bunch of Miyazaki movies, so I'll mention those first.

I'm unlike a lot of other fans of Miyazaki films in that my favourite is Castle in the Sky and Princess Mononoke, whereas a lot of Miyazaki-film-fans seem to like Spirited Away or Howl's Moving castle in addition to Princess Mononoke.

I saw Castle in the Sky as a young child, so it's kind of that "Young fondness" but I couldnt' really appreciate it. Unfortunately I could never find it. I'm too lazy to go find it now, so I just have it on TiVo.

Another movie that turned out a lot better than I expected was the second Inuyasha movie. Despite that Naraku comes back for the umpteenth time, I actually thought it was better done than most of the series (Except for Shippou yelling) I felt it was better than the first movie, which seemed a little dragged out. (And I never really got why putting a Comma on Kagome's head controlled her...) The Digimon movie was also rather nice, but I've always had a fondness for Digimon.

Another movie I remember from my childhood was Unico in the Island of Magic. It was pretty much your stereotypical anime back then...lots and LOTS of yelling. It wasn't the best movie, but it's actually pretty good for an anime targeted at children. I remember being scared by that movie...And it wasn't until recently that I saw it again and saw it that the villain was only being kept alive by hate...That's kind of dark for a little kid's movie. :/

I liked Akira, the One Piece movies (Especially 6), and Transformers: The Movie. However, one movie outclasses them all.

Grave of the Fireflies.

That is the only, ONLY movie to ever have me in tears. Few movies can make you so concerned for the characters and their fate, although from the very beginning, you knew what would happen...

My favourites include most of what's been mentioned so far, along with 'Wings of Honneamise', 'Perfect Blue', 'Castle of Cagliostro', 'Millenium Actress', 'Tokyo Godfathers' 'Spriggan', 'Metropolis', 'Memories', 'Ninja Scroll', and, against all odds, the 'Highlander' movie that came out this summer.

^ Ew. I gave them a chance, with an open mind like a decent otaku, and they weren't that great.

Eh, The First Movie was pretty Good, it had the Big Mewtwo Vs. Mew part. But the last 10 to 15 minutes was kind of cheesy

Oh, and the second movie....

Spoiler Below
Seriously, "And the world will turn to Ash?" Are you serious? Was Ash capitalized?

My favorite Anime Movies were Princess Mononoke, Castle in the Sky, and Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

Hm.

The Cowboy Bebop Movie, the original Ghost in the Shell movie, Metropolis, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.... does Blue Submarine No. 6 count as a movie? That's on there too.

I haven't seen a lot of anime movies, so I'll go with one I really liked: Spirited Away.

^Or to be more exact...Lucca was trying to shoot evil Serge/Lynx in the face with a laser and Jay was the third person narrator.
