Not that kind of love!! This is a thread for anime characters that captured your attention, made you laugh your ass off, pulled your heart strings, and made you think "Man... That was awesome.". For me, Najimi Sasaki, this character is Midori from the anime "Midori No Hibi", Midori is a girl from a rich family who secretly has a crush on one of the most notorious punks in the area, Seiji Sawamura. She is very shy, and has never been able to work up the courage to confess her love for him. That is, until one morning she wakes up, and has become his right hand! You can bet that this romantic comedy delivers on both aspects. As for Mushi, I'm just going to assume his favorite anime character is me, for his sake ![]() __________________ Last edited by Mushi; 10-07-2007 at 10:42 AM. |

Because of all the characters in the show, with the exception of Nami and Chopper(Although technically, he is not human.), he is the most human. He has fears, dreams, and bravery like anyone else, perhaps even more so in terms of fear. Plus him becoming Sogeking made him all the more awesome. For the same reasons, I like Rock Lee from Naruto. (He is the only saving grace for the show, in my opinion.) I enjoy nearly every character from Basilisk, especially Saemon. This is also for the same reasons as Ussop and Lee, because dispite their powers and bloodlust, they are still human, and by God they show it. Astro Boy is also a favorite because of the complexity of the character. I especially loved how, in the 1980's and 2003 anime series and much of the Manga, he is forced into conflict with his own feelings of right and wrong. You know, I could do this all day, so let me just wrap it up. I like anime and manga character that have deep and complex minds. Their backstory does not have to be complex or tragic, but what is needed to make a great character is emotion. This is where many rpers and fan-fiction writers get things scrambled up. They make such complex characters and backstories, but the character him/herself has literally no emotion. So much so that he/she seems like a lifeless puppet. Oh! Seems I have wandered off into ranting. I may as well stop while I can. Last edited by Ghost Kitty; 10-07-2007 at 01:19 PM. |

Then after watching the show, I realized just how human he was by seeing his interactions with his brother, his gang, and the citizens of Southtown. That and a kitten. |

I agree, he was very human. Especially during Hotarubi's death scene. He seemed to show a bit of remorse for what he had just done, but at the same time, an almost morbid satisfaction any human being would find, whether they like it or not, in killing an enemy. |

I don't know why I like her; whenever I think about it, she's the kind of person most people wouldn't like to hang around with. And there's also Kaorin from Azumanga Daioh, purely for the comedic value with her girl-crush on Sakaki. |

Yes that was made into a anime. It sucked compared to the book though. I also liked Shikamaru and choji from Naruto. Lastly I liked everyone from Negima. That show is so insane. Hehehe ![]() ![]() |

I never laughed harder or even cried during any cartoon, anime or not. Although I've only watched the first 7 episodes so far, I loved it since the first one. Funniest Part: Episode 2, Near the end Where (the right hand) Midori and Seiji are in Midori's Mansion and are in (the fainted) Midori's room. Too shy to give the details, but (the right hand) Midori's reaction is priceless. Midori: No!! Don't Look!!! Seiji: This is no time to say that!!! and I'm thinking: Darn right it isn't... and I ![]() The part with the most tears: Episode 7, near the end... ... but only after Ayase's continuous, and failed, attempts to capture Seiji's heart. Anyways, Midori and Seiji were runing around in a park and they stopped nearby a fountain where Midori, again, admits her love for Seiji, but it sounded so romantic. To cap it all off, before they leave, the water fountain turns on... and that's what turned on the water works... ![]() Thanks, Mushi. This really is the best anime I've seen in a long while. |

Since I'm into Historical and Mystery oriented anime, it wasn't up my ally. Not much for romance, in the long run. Oh, and MK? Watch Basilisk. Now. |
