Rebuild of Evangelion

So, yeah. Basically, a 4-part movie remake of the original series. First one already released in theaters a few months ago. Second one coming soon.

Apparently, there'll be a new ending. I'm just wondering what will happen...hopefully something happier then End of Evangelion. That was just depressing. >_>

So...discuss, so this topic doesn't die like half of the other Evangelion topics have.

I've only watched the original series, and none of the movies. It's an interesting series, but the ending didn't do anything for me. I heard mixed reviews about the movie they made to follow up the series (is that End of Evangelion?), so I haven't seen it yet.

Personally, I think they took a good idea for a series and just went way too abstract and philosophical with it.

My favorite animes are still Escaflowne, Trigun and Cowboy Bebop.

Is there still talks and rumors of a live action Evangelion? Or was that just a hoax.

Evengelion was decent, I might watch the remakes if the end was different.

^^All that's known about the live-action movie is that it's happening Nothing on cast, length or plot.
