It was the Joker of the 90's that shot Barbra Gordan in the head paralyzing her and ending her days as Batgirl. The Joker of the earlier years was more loopy homicidal with most of his scheme's revolving around dead pan jokes and slapstick gags enchanced to a deadly level. He also had more of a comical mind that reminded many of an actual clown. They both capture their own Joker perfectly. Mark Hamill has the excellent voice for the Joker, but I don't see him acting the Joker any better than Jack or Heath. And Cesar Romero will always have a place in my heart because he was one of the first Latino's that I saw on a tv show I used to watch everyday growing up. At a time when the innocent of youth is all you know, this Joker was the most devious little Jokester ever. His laugh was classic mad man and his ability to take a mighty blow from the great Adam West stood as a testment to his steel. |

They're all good, but Ledger's Killing Joke-style version is just the best villain of any of these Jokers, instead of being more like Nicholson's happy-go-lucky evil uncle style. Part of me thinks you can't even call Ledger the Joker though, without falling into a vat of acid I just blogged about this **** actually. transmissioninfrequency.blogspot.com |
