Eh, inspired by my Batman thread. Who's your favorite Joker? Unfortunately, two of the actors who have played the Joker have died as of recently. Three, if you count Mark Hamill's career. OHHHH LOW BLOW Kay, vote. |

I think that they should dub over that guy's voice in The Dark Knight with Mark Hamill. |

As for the rest...well, I think Jack Nicholson and Mark Hamill were both excellent. I couldn't choose between them. They both did a tremendous job conveying the Joker's theatricality, his charisma, and his sadistic glee--it's hard to make such a total bastard likeable, but they managed. |

Nicholson's characterisation is a drastic and remarkable departure from the outlandish (yet so darkly terrifying) depiction by Mark Hamil, and Ledger's homicidal no-nonsense approach is nowhere near the machiavellian portrayal seen often in the comic books and solidifiedby Alan Moore. Even the camp 70s version had its brilliance. It's the same as the many iterations of the Riddler. |

And many people say he could get it, not out of sympathy, but because he's that good. |

Although with the animated Joker, a big part of it was not only the voice acting, but the actions of the character on screen. But, Hamill's voice DID bring a lot to it... |

We're talking about the old man, and the SPAAAAAWN* of his loins just happens to call! Makes you want to laugh... doesn't it, Arthur?" And if you don't know what my answer is based on that, I'll say this: my sentiments are right in line with most other people's so far. *High note |

Never mind my uncharacterostic lack of likability and wit! Watch me suck more than should be humanly possible, and amidst an oh-so-mistaken shift in personalitty towards 'thug', to boot! Could it get better than this? Not without the intervention of a more generous God, it couldn't!' |
