It's over. For eleven years it played anime, dwindling down from it's amazing status into garbage no one watched. It was a lot of people's introduction to anime. All you really had before that was Sci-Fi. It pretty much introduced anime for America. Yeah, it became an awful, rotting corpse as of 2003, but I loved it so much as a kid...I'd always rush home from school when I was a child so I wouldn't miss a second of Dragon Ball Z. Sailor Moon was a weird series...My first introduction to anime, I believe. This or DBZ. Everyone watched it, everyone. Even the guys. ...Especially the guys. Tenchi Muyo was also weird. You didn't really know what was going on, just a bunch of girls fighting over some guy with a light saber. But man, I still ate it up. First introduction to Harem. It's like a harem on crack, I loved it. Gundam Wing may not be everyone's favorite series, but while it aired, everyone loved it. Now it's gone, and people want it back. Proves something, even if it's just nostalgia. G Gundam was generally more appealing, and I liked it a lot more than Wing. I'm sure the line "THIS HAND OF MINE GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER" is burned into everyone's minds. Outlaw Star...I wish I could recall more about Outlaw Star, but I know I loved it, too. It was a great Sci-Fi, nonetheless. But it's over. All of it. As of today, Saturday, September 20th, 2008. Toonami is off air. Bang. See you, Space Cowboy. All it had left was an hour of Naruto, Ben 10, and last time I checked, reruns of Samurai Jack. It had to die somehow. I miss thee, O majestic ship in space and pregnant-looking Tom. ![]() |

But I never watched Toonami because I get all the Anime I could ever need from my friends. I believe I have all of Cowboy Bebop and Trigun waiting to be consumed. |

Also, I know it's G Gundam, no clue why I said Gundam G. The OP is kinda ugly, I should redo it. |

And yes, I mean that. Also, YuYu Hakusho, G Gundam, even Gundam SEED for the brief period they played it back in 2004 or so. I was even obsessed with Tenchi and Sailor Moon, back in the early days, although I barely remember any details about them now. I just remember how fond all of it was to me. RIP, Toonami. Although you had become rather senile in your later years, we were still happy you were alive. *salutes* |

You were really good friends while you were young but as you grew up, you drifted apart and the friend started doing drugs and stealing ****. A few years later you learn that your friend had OD'd and you wonder "Maybe if we would have stayed friends, things could have been different..." Can't find a better way of summing it up. |
