Most screwed up anime characters

I was watching Black Lagoon right? Few eps in I thought, "Oh, the main chick is stupid, the dude is just Jet from Bebop and Rock is okay. Pretty basic, kinda crappy but meh."

Then, well..

Two twins, a boy and girl about 11, show up and start bonin' each other down, killing people, mutilating corpses, changing, like sexes or personalaties or something..then they get their brains blown out. Damn dude.

Anyway, any other sick bastards in anime that come to mind anyone? Top that if you can.

Hamdo from Now and Then Here and There. A Paranoid, schizophrenic, dictator whose policies include such wonderful things as Spoiler Below

genocide, raping women in order to impregnate them, enslaving children and brainwashing children to fight for him, killing anyone who doesn't agree with him, torture, etc.

Then there's Abelia, who follows his orders and is pretty much the only reason his dictatorship doesn't fall apart.

Most despicable villains I've ever seen. If it weren't for her ending, Sarah would be the most tragic character in anime. As it is, she's still up there.

Just watch Requiem from the Darkness, every episode's plot focuses on screwed up characters.

Yeah, Vicious was pretty screwed up. I always liked that name too. Wouldn't really mess with a guy named Vicious.

Vegeta was fairly twisted as well. Saving and blowing up a planet for fun, killin' his buddy (twice), beating the crap out of his son, killing crowds of people just to piss off...you know, the main character from DBZ...yeah, pretty evil dude.

The Basilisk characters were all unfeeling rapists/murderers. In their own unique way, every single one of them was mad.

EDIT: Has anyone mentioned Light Yagami yet? That guy, especially late in the series (arguably, of course, but come on... some of the stuff he did was just ****ing prickish), was just ****ed in the head.

How the hell did I miss Light? 'Course, speaking of Death Note, I'd say Teru Mikami is even more screwed up. Also "B" was pretty messed himself.

That scene where his face is all distorted and he offs himself in front of God and everyone (almost literally on the "God" part)? Just awesome.

I mean, any character who would murder in his almost innocent way, all the while keeping that clean act and that perfect schedule... Insane.

Dunno if this requires a spoiler, but also note that he took to the Death Note so easily, even easier than Light. On top of that, even going as far as to making the eye deal and even punish more strictly than Light. Nutso.

Anyone remember that anime with the killer baseball kid? He would come up to his victims on rollerblades and a bent up bat and bludgeon them to death at the end of each episode. Oddly enough, each episode just goes through each victim's daily life and the introduction is so happy and each victim is there dancing on everything. Incredibly sketchy.

Checked it. It's called Paranoia Agent. Cartoon Network actually took it off the air after two runthroughs of the season because they themselves felt sketched out by it.

Every victim in this show is laughing in the introduction. Some of the characters die as though it's not that big of a deal. Two were even laughing!

They all die by the kid with the golden baseball bat. Not only this, but the series ended with a sad note. Tokyo was enveloped by a huge black blob and the kid was never stopped.

The ending of each episode is even more twisted.
