Here's one that will actually work:

I mean, stick Goku in, say, Chrono Trigger and he can only have a maximum level of 99. Then all the other level 99's come and beat him down, case closed.

Aren't his abilities measured in Ki anyway? Then the DBZ "powerlevel" would be totally irrelevant in situations where abilities do not correlate to Ki energy. In a lot of instances, fictional characters have specific death-related abilities, which would completely counteract Ki, because Ki is life energy. A lich could completely strip him of his life force and then he wouldn't be able to do anything but throw an every-day punch, if the lich were to allow him to live through it.

As I mentioned before, the average adult human has a power level of 5.

Chrono Trigger has a stat max that pretty much makes everyone equal. It's a gameplay restrictment that can't be applied correctly. I believe to compare characters, a realistic compromise must be reached. Nothing states that an average human's power level can't be measured and refered to as a level of "5".

However, even in real life, people have very different abilities that can't be forced into a single "maximum", which is why we retain records of our feats. And that's just in real life. Imagine if God were a character in CT, would it make sense to cap him at 99? Absolutely not.

Goku's abilities are genereally based on Ki, life energy, but also based on his will. He has, in a number of situations, even trancended death in order to accomplish his will. While still declared "dead". You can't use life energy if you are dead, especially in the world of the living, yet he did. His will is among some of the strongest in fiction, at least that I have come across. Therefore, his abilities are not bound by a single understanding, such as Ki or anything else, which makes an encounter with a being like the one that you stated something that would be interesting.

A good plot, kof/tos1 and tos2/samurai showdown/street fighter/darkstalkers. That would be made of awesome and win. And if its not that than nothing is.

What would goku do if he was ripped in half. I pretty much think that if you did that and burned his body he wouldn't come back to life. His body always survives when he dies. Therefore destroy his body.

For some reason I'd like to see an Outlaw Star and Star Trec TNG cross over. I know it probly wouldn't work plot wise but I'd just like to see the United Federation of Planets ( represented by the USS Enterprise) try to deal with the OT space pirets, the Catral Catarl Empire, and the crew of the aformentioned Outlaw Star.
