Its background art is especially fantastic, and it's not just another action or drama. The general themes in it are especially reminiscent of Princess Mononoke, which up to now has had little similarities to anything outside of Studio Ghibli's other works. I seriously dig the whole spiritual symbiotic and parasitic elements of the plot, and that Ginko kind of just wanders around. He as a manner really similar to Spike from Cowboy Bebop. ![]() |

Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that if you're sick of stupid samurai/ninja, mecha, or magical girl shows, or combinations of those themes, there's another good anime out there for you to check out. |

I don't know much about it, but I don't think a live action film could really capture the artistic gravity of the series. |
