ACTIVITY SPARK

Let's come up with ideas for reviving this forum.

How about the forum co-operating to make a full game?

We could vote on how many characters, how many and what stages, what music, screenpack, title, etc etc.

Then once its done we could make it available for download so that everyone who voted would have access to the finished product...

Thoughts?

I have been letting people know what characters are being made that I believe are good enough, still a little popularity wouldn't hurt.

Besides, if you really want to make a full game, I say go for it, but you'll probably need people that can draw, code, and put everything together.

So, that's four people to start off.

The topic is actually just for ideas on how to boost activity.
Mine was just to plant the seed into someone's head.
As I don't have the skills to do any of that.

The main idea didn't actually involve any real programming, just nominating and voting for characters, stages, a title, etc etc. And then it would be put together and released.

Balance, of course, is a major issue, especially when you use characters from different games. For example, Mortal Kombat characters will almost always defeat Street Fighter 2 characters due to the ability to deal more much more damage.

Make a matchup.
People bet on it by submitting their points to the person who receives them. (Maker of the topic or a mod)
Then make a video of the fight and post it.

I'm afraid I can't do much, since I don't have a usable computer that can run it and recording programs at the moment (Well, unless I want to jump through hoops to get it to run.)

So, yeah. Can't make videos.

I'll try to remember to update this forum a little more frequently.
