Leader of the Leaderboard

Will someone please explain what the "Leader of the Leaderboard" is, please?

Every so often it counts how many first places people have and tallies them up, thus the person who's had the most first places for the longest time overall is the leader of it.

Unfortunately it seems to reset every time new games get added, so until Shane stops adding new games its pretty much useless
