that game's glitchy, i tried to stand on the corner of the platform and it jumped me off instead

The control seems reasonably fine to me. I just need to figure out how the heck to get past 5 enemies.

i keep jumping without hitting the jump button.... usually a double jump is what happens, or i completely miss an edge i should have landed on

You're supposed to be able to double jump. I haven't had any problems doing this accidentally once I got used to it. I do, though, sometimes have problems with missing jumps, and having only 1 life sucks.
