It's really nice to know some of you guys like it. I thought it looked nice, but I was worried that I had a blind spot since I was working on it for a while.

I am also relieved to know that my irony has been approved by the Republic of Antisocial.

It took about... what, six hours? The design stage was already done; I had a sketch for a month now that pretty much cemented the pose. The rest was splashing black spots, splashing white spots in the black, and then four hours of tweaking. Around the same amount of time for a regular pic (maybe less), but today was a lazy Saturday, so I could fit in the time and energy.

If you guys are curious, I scavenged the art style from Dan Kim. (Link not for the feint of heart. The site contains all manner of atrocities; some seriously grotesque stuff along with the awesomesauce.) He's got a couple of tutorials up, but they're kind of on the light side.

I never really thought about doing nudes. No males, though. It always gets weird drawing the crotch area, even in full clothing.

I gotta say I like the noir-ish quality of it, suggestive of more depth than you might be able to convey with colors unless you did a whole ass-ton of shading.

I must say, the most noticeable difference between the SD drawing and your others is the details in the face. The eyes are smaller and the nose is shown without being at an extreme angle. Very VERY nice.
