I'm going to the midnight showing of movie five near me. I'll be writing a review when I get back. Also, discuss what you think is gonna happen in book 7 here. I think... Ginny is going to sacrifice herself to save Harry, but fail. -CSM |

| Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill | I'm not going to Order of the Phoenix unless somebody pays for me. I'm not paying seven bucks to see Daniel Radcliffe suck at acting and butcher one of my favorite book series. |

| Super Bodyguard & King of the Arcade | I figure I should probably read at least one of these books at some point. |

ZG and SML are taking over this topic... but now I cruelly interrupt their Punch-and-Judy machinations for this message: I hope the final book isn't a horrible cliche fest. It'd be nice if something unexpected happened instead of some Arthurian death or something... |

Beg pardon, but could you please explain how it is that SML and I each make a post considered "taking over a topic"? I wasn't even being snarky - I was just advising him to the read the books, because as a friend, I think he would like them. That's what friends do. And he's my friend. | |

Flat out; don't ruin it for others. Tag your posts with a warning if you are going to talk about something integral to a plot. Don't do it again. If someone has a complaint, instead of quoting the offending post all over the topic, you can either PM me or use the "report post" function by pressing the little exclamation icon to your left. And if you're just speculating over the book, make sure people know that. I can't tell what's a spoiler and what isn't if you're just spouting it like fact, and I will have to delete your post for lack of a better understanding. |

I mean, there are so many complexities in her story telling that when she says she kills off characters for a reason, I believe her. I mean, she's managed to weave so many fantastic ideas throughout her stories, and yet has managed to tie it all together somehow. She uses character deaths to advance the story and almost as a literary device, if you will - the deaths obviously affect the story's protagonist, and therefore they compel him to act further. I mean, obviously, the death's of Sirius and now Dumbledore will serve as an even greater motivation for Harry in this final book. It's not about sales - it's about realism. People die, and those left have to cope. That's real life. |
