The Adventures of Tintin

For those of you who have not been enlightened, The Adventures of Tintin is a series of comic books drawn by the Belgian cartoonist Herge, first as political satire. You can still tell there are some political overtones in the series, such as how a coup changes only the soldiers wandering around in the end of Tintin and the Picaros.

IMO, Tintin is one of the best comics ever made, comparable to Calvin and Hobbes, Nausicaa, Maus, and Bone.

I loved Tintin as a child. I'd go to the library with my dad, and take one out. Good times.

I don't read it as much anymore, but the memories are still there.

Oh I read every single one (other than "Soviets", "Cogo", and what he did of "Alph Art") in the library as well - Although reading them like seven years later is really different now. My libraries always placed them in the "kids" section.

HELOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! I CAN HEEEEEEEEEEEAR YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUU!

Tintin is far better than any other comic invented, even Calvin and Hobbes. It was the only comic that wasn't afraid to go into politics.

I always liked "The Cigars of the Pharaoh" and anything with the Thompsons. -CSM

Wow, the old Nick Jr. show was nothing like that description. I might have to go look up some Tintin comics now.

That's not true at all.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Get the Thompsons, Pro. Calculus and Captain Haddock in a small room together. You can’t get much better than that.
