Pizza jail may sound intriguing, but there is no pizza served there.
April 2011 Compilation
I haven't mentioned this before, but Tazy asked me a question last month about this list of songs. These are essentially my favorite utattemita songs that came out this month on Nico Nico Douga. I'm going to try my best in this listing not to mention a singer twice in the same month. I'm also not going to list the same song multiple months in a row unless a super-amazing cover comes out. My goal here is to introduce readers to as many new songs as possible
From now on I'll try to list them in order leading up to my favorite. Now! Onto the list:
Choucho - Melt (Miku Hatsune)
This song is really, really old <_> It's about a girl that likes a boy... and she "melts" when she's with him. I was never a big fan of this song because it's too cutesy and bouncy for me... but I have a few versions that are fine.
Nico Nico Kaizokudan - Yume ni Katachi wa Nai Keredo (Miku Hatsune)
Just putting this up because it's a One Piece parody. They have a different person singing for each character that's a part of Nico Nico Kaizokudan.
This is the order in case you're confused: Chopper, Sanji, Usopp, Zoro, Nami, Robin, Franky, and Brook. No, Luffy doesn't sing. It'd probably sound like ass if he did anyway. This song is so sappy sounding. <_>
ShounenT - I love you, I need you (Miku Hatsune)
Cute song. It reminds me alot of the song "Baby Romantica" by SCRIPT. :3
Guriri - Kiritorisen (GUMI)
This sounds soooo smooth. It reminds me a little of Megumi Hayashibara's Grapefruit album. :3
Elie - Replica (GUMI)
The video for this song reminds me of CLAMP's manga Clover... and a little bit of X... and Kaori Yuki's Angel Sanctuary.
Bis - Nothing But (Miku Hatsune)
Um Bis is great at this sort of song... but I don't like his voice in slower songs. Also, I don't think I've heard him do the metal scream before. I could be wrong.
Vin - Get Back Your Everything (Luka Megurine)
Speaking of metal, Vin is pretty awesome here. He makes everything metal. <_>
Vivienne - Carnival (GUMI)
Yes. It's true. This is probably the type of song that only someone like me would like. I like the weird, creepy circusy ****. Leave me alone. This is awesome.
Kogeinu feat. Yuda - Kumo ni Iseki (Miku Hatsune/MEIKO)
This is one of those songs like Guriri's version of "Kami no namae ni ochiru mono" that sounds wonderfully foreign and mystical (or some ****).
SquaDus - Flower Tail (KAITO)
WHAT? A KAITO song? I know I'm surprised too. No one usually covers Kaito-only songs... if there's Kaito at all, it's a Kaito duet. And this one should be lumped together with the previous song. They both have the same vibe to me. Also, this singer-guy is from Israel. What?
Noaru and Saiya - Fairy-tailed (MEIKO)
I've never heard of this before... but it sounds like it should be from an anime. And it has a dancing ghost fairy lady or something in the video.
Kouhei - Speed (Luka Megurine/GUMI)
Here's Kouhei being epic as usual. The guitarist in the video has a really creepy mask ._.
Mitani Nana - Mousou Sketch (Miku Hatsune)
I didn't like this song very much the first time I heard it... but I really liked it when I heard Mitani Nana's version. It's really upbeat :x
Nano - Melodic Cylinder (Original by BuzzG)
Nano's English is so good. Although, if you watched the videos I linked in other blogs, you'd know that <_> Her voice sounds so deep and rockish here.
Yuge - OverTechnology (GUMI)
Do the monkey with me <_> WHAT THE- Don't shoot that monkey! What has science done?inb4MojoJojo
Kakichoco - Kin no Aelia (Luka Megurine)
I always love rock songs with clean female vocals <_> The video is so blue and pretty. *_*
Dasoku and Ren - DOGS (Miku Hatsune)
CREEPER STACHE! Ren is Creeper Stache guy. Dasoku is the blonde. And why is it called DOGS if they have cat ears? Why am I thinking of ghostbusters when all they're doing is spray painting stuff? Is spray paint art? These guys seem to think so.
Jegyll and Dom - Sandscraper (Len Kagamine)
I wanted to put another version (Yorukichi) but it wasn't on youtube. So I chose this version. Actually, I was lucky to find THIS version since it's a duet between two relatively unknown singers. JUMP ON A TRAIN TO ESCAPE LIFE'S HARDSHIPS.
Iciko - Babel (Miku Hatsune)
I usually really hate Iciko because her voice is so high it hurts... but she sounds pretty good here *_*
Glutamine - Petenshi ga Warau Koro ni (Miku Hatsune) Liqu@ Version
Glutamine did a version of this with a live band behind him. It really improves the overall quality of the song... and Glutamine is awesome as usual. If you'd like to hear how the ORIGINAL lower quality version sounds, I've linked Liqu@'s version.
PokotaAppend - Blackjack (Luka Megurine)
If you follow the vocaloid community, you get the joke here. Vocaloid's (like Miku Hatsune etc) get "appends" sometimes... which is like an update to their database where they add more differenter sounds. Pokota sings higher here than he usually does, so he's called himself "PokotaAppend" in the description. <_> Also, this song is Jazzy~
Gero - Tokyo Rock City (Miku Hatsune)
GERO. They used to have a live version up on youtube but it's gone forever. It's too bad because it was soooo hilarious seeing Gero jump around on the stage.
Hany-cham - Just a Game (GUMI)
Hany-cham is perfect for this sort of song. For some reason I feel like I'm in the late 1990's, early 2000's when I listen to this. Also WINEY DANCE. And they rhyme "bartender" with "love me tender" <_> Load have mercy.
Nobunaga - Rimokon (Rin Kagamine/Len Kagamine)
Rimokon is short for Remote Controller. This song is soooo catchy!! Definitely my favorite this month <3L R L R STOP & DASH & UP & TALK B B A B S(tart) YEAH!
