Acradius vs. Joker

OOC: Well Arcadius, our battle will begin in the world of Middle Earth, inside the Halls of Moria. This battlefield offers plenty of spaces to move about, pillars to knock opponents through or to brake off and use like a giant club of sorts, also the light inside the great halls are lit by a hundred thousand torches and it spans out in almost all directions for miles around.
Standing at the door to Moria, the Vampire Lord readied to speak the elvish word “Veh-lar” and open the doors that would lead him to his battlefield. The inhabitants of the mountain had long since died and the great hall where his battle was to take place was no more than an hour’s journey for him. He blasted through corridors at an incredible speed and raced up stairways and even broke through a few walls. Finally the blur of movement stopped at the entrance to the battlefield. He remained as a statue for a brief moment and then opened the doors and walked in. Once inside he began to stretch his limbs and practice his Shoalin Southern Fist.

About five minutes into the Vampire's kata, a brief flash of bright white light appeared in the hall about five hundred feet from him. The figure that remained was not a very impressive sight. His long, blonde, and completely untamed hair was, for once, still in this place with little wind. He took a long, drawn-out breath, inhaleing the aromas left here for millenia. The passage of time had driven out the stenches of death and decay, leaving only the deep, strong smell of the earth itself. Turning, Acradius Journeyman faced his opponent, and began striding towards him. His half-plate Quanta armor clanked along every step of the way, filling the hall with echos, and disturbing what peace was left here. The walk down the hall seemed to take an eternity. Compared to everything going on in the Time Warrior's mind, the endless, interrupting clacks of his feet on the floor were nothing. He was nervous, to tell the truth. Just looking at his opponent, he could tell he was out of his leauge. His right palm itched for the reassuring weight of the Quantum, which rested by his side. He longed to check if his Elue ring was on his finger as secure as he thought it was. He wanted to take out his shard of the Encron Crystal from beneath his breastplate, to ensure it was still working. None of these he did. It was torturous. Acradius continued to methodically place one foot in front of the other. By now, he was maybe ten feet from his opponent. As the distance closed even further, some little voice in the back of his head told the Time Warrior: To strive for the impossible is the nature of all humans. He was now within arm's reach of the Vampire, both of their expressions unreadable. With that thought in mind, he felt his frayed nerves go back to a cool, calm, and focused state. He extended his hand, not wondering if the other combatent would accept, not expecting anything. It was a sure thing that Acradius Journeyman would have to pull out all the stops in the upcoming battle, but his honor demanded this. That voice reared its head again. Whatever happens, happens.
