Versus 3: SAMUS VS. MASTER CHIEF Pt.1

Samus Vs. Master Chief
When you hide a main character behind a suit of armor, you make it so the player can associate with said character. You also hide the character in case you decide to reveal that said character is not who you think he (she) is. Although the suit is the only things similar about these two characters, this trait makes them rivals in gamer's minds ever since Metroid Prime came out. But, who is the better "Armor Wearer"
Samus almost needs no introduction. She started on the planet "SR388" when it is seized by the Space Pirates. When she escapes, she meets the Chozo, who train her into an elite warrior in order to take revenge on the space pirates, and their leader, Mother Brain, while killing every Metroid in existence.
Master Chief has no real past, other than his continuous battles against the Alien Race known as the Convenant. With his suit of armor and enhanced abilities, he stands to fight the Covenant, a zombie like race called The Flood, and even a giant machine built to destroy whole planets.
These two have a very similar style of fighting so there will be no pulling punches this time. Let's Begin!
1. Location
Since Samus spends most of the time traveling to various worlds, and Master Chief spends most of his time on Earth, it is more reasonable for Samus to head for Chief than it is to have it the other way around. This doesn't mean it's not possible, since Master Chief has traveled to other planets before, but Master Chief only left to fight the convenant, and it didn't happen all the time. So, we'll give this to the Big Chief.
Advantage: Master Chief
2. Powers.
Samus really excells in this category. In the First Metroid alone she had Large Missiles, an Ice Beam, Bombs, and had Energy Tanks up the ass. Not to mention the Flamethrower, Power Bombs, Speed Booster, Grapple Beam, and so on. You could argue that Samus's suit is like a swiss army knife. This doesn't mean that Samus is helpless without the suit. She's weaker, yes, but not helpless. With an increased speed, and an emergency pistol that could stun even the most armored of Space Pirates, she is a force to be reckoned with.
Master Chief is definatley at a disadvantage here, what with the lack of Power Bombs, and Grapple Beams, but he is also a force to be reckoned with when it comes to powers. The Biggest is his rejenerating shields, which Samus doesn't have. All he needs to do is hide behind a wall and his shields soon be back at full strength and be able to take more hits. In addition to Plasma Guns, Guns that shoot exploding needles, and a bazooka, Master Chief can truly be defined as the Demon he is on the battlefield.
Still, Samus blows him out of the water in terms of sheer variety.
Advantage: Samus Aran
3. Experiances
Samus has had her fair share of experiance, from fighting the Space Pirates, to the Metroids, to other bounty hunters, to a Parasite that threatened to eat all creation. Regardless, she has gotten through all of this despite having to reclaim her powers on every mission, and still having enough missiles to cram into the Big Bad's face. She has probably fought and killed most of the Space Pirates, and single handedly exterminated 2 races that we know of for sure, and gets out of every jam she's thrown into.
Master Chief is also nothing to sneeze at, being able to destroy planet destroying machines with little more than a rocket Launcher and a Car. Master Chief is also responsible for pushing back an entire enemy fleet, including a war machine. This says nothing of his fights against an annoying zombie like race while following a small flying robot that shoots laser beams.
I'd have to say that Master Chief has had a rougher time, but Samus has had more variety. It's split.
Advantage: Tie.
4. Friends
Samus has no real friends. Everyone she meets either dies during her mission, or she abandones them. If anything, she is friends with the Chozo, but for the most part you rarely she an alive Chozo, if there are any left at all.
Master Chief on the other hand, has the Arbiter, an alien who is basicially meant to be killed for the Covenant; Seargent Johnson, a normal person that fought alongside Chief; Cortana, an AI construct that guides Chief through his mission; and Miranda Keys, a lieutenant commander that fights with Chief.
Master Chief beats Samus here several times over.
Advantage: Master Chief
5. Current Enemies
Samus has alway fought, and always will fight, the Space Pirates. Led by Mother Brain, these pirates attack anything of value and power like, well, pirates. Along with the army, Samus might as well fight Nature itself. Every living thing slams into Samus in such a way as to damage her, not to mention the creatures that actually want to kill her. She fights Dragons, Ghosts, Wyverns, Unknown Abominations, and Brain Monsters at almost every mission.
Master Chief doesn't have it any easier, with various aliens with various weapons, zombie like creatures, and a small flying robot that shoots lasers on occasion. The Covenant in particular have a need to crush humanity into paste using the Halo Installations. The Flood only want to spread thier horrible disease to everything using every form they can. But, Master Chief has shown he can handle all of this pretty effectively and that for the most part, the Covenant can be taken down pretty effectively.
So....Samus wins here, what with the size of her enemies being larger than everyone else.
Advantage: Samus
Winner: Tie 3-3
Well now, a tie has been made here. I believe a tie breaker must be set into place, and what other tie breaker can there be than The Story part of the segment?
