Versus 3: SAMUS VS. MASTER CHIEF Pt.2
Story (Many Narrative elements have been removed for the fight's sake)
Samus parks her spaceship on the ringworld of Halo. After hearing of the Space Pirates occupation of this strange place, the Bounty Hunter has decided to find what the Space Pirates were doing here.
Meanwhile, Master Chief has chased the Prophet of Truth to this Installation, but lost him on the Ringworld's surface. Fearing that the Prophet is planning to activate the ringworld, Chief quickly descends to the planet surface.
It doesn't take long for Samus, Chief, and the Prophet of Truth to find the Pirates guarding various areas of the planet. Samus and Master Chief are able to easily destroy these creatures, while the Prophet of Truth brings his Brutes to smash them to pieces. It's not long before Samus runs into the Prophet of Truth.
At first, Samus thinks the Prophet is a space pirate, but quickly realizes the differences between him and the Space Pirates. The Prophet immeadiatley sees this as a chance to activate Halo, and keep Chief away while doing so. He tells Samus that the area is a piece of technology made to destroy all sentient life, and that a green suited man plans to activate it to end a war with genocide. Not willing to let this happen, Samus quickly races off to find Master Chief.
Meanwhile, Master Chief makes a beeline for the controls, killing most of the space pirate that tried to stop him. He finds Ridley speaking to the monitor about the Array, obviously showing interest in its power. Chief aims his gun at Ridley, and asks what kind of creature he is. Having heard that Samus was on the planet, Ridley decides to bring the new "Green Hunter" to his side. He tells Chief that he was trying to gather information for Samus Aran, who plans to release the Flood enclosed on the universe. Master Chief, knowing how the Flood operate, realizes that he needs to stop Samus. Learning what Samus looks like from Ridley, he quickly pumps Ridley with Energy Needles and leaves him for dead, not knowing of Ridley's will to survive.
Soon, both Samus and Master Chief meet each other in the Flood Containment Facilities. Master Chief quickly fires his pistol in an attempt to stop Samus from releasing the Flood. Samus quickly fires a missile back, which Chief runs away from to take cover. Samus quickly activates her Super Missile and fires it at the wall Master Chief is hiding behind, destroying it and revealing Master Chief with a Rocket Launcher. Chief fires at Samus, who takes the hit head on. Master Chief fires another, which Samus fires a charged shot at, destroying it. Chief puts the Rocket Laucher away and grabs a gun from a Dead Space Pirate nearby and fires it at Samus. Samus quickly jumps over Master Chief and fires down, breaking Chief's shield. Master Chief runs for another wall to hide behind, dodging Samus's shots. Samus quickly activates her Ice Beam and hits Chief square in the back. Chief is frozen solid as Samus activates her Super Missiles. Suddenly, Ridley bursts through the floor, carrying a dead Brute and about a busted Monitor in his mouth.
It appears that the Prophet of Truth was overwhelmed by the Space Pirates as they raided the Halo Array and tore it to pieces. It seemed they were more interested in a power that wouldn't destroy the galaxy. Before Samus can react, Ridley rips off the doors containing the Flood and sets them loose on Samus. Samus tries to shoot at Ridley, but it is to no avail as he flies off. In the crossfire, Master Chief finally defrosts, and sees the carnage that is transpiring. Believing at first that Ridley betrayed Samus for the power of the Flood, he two SMG's conveiniently on the floor and opens fire on the two them. Although Ridley gets away, Samus is barraged with shells and takes heavy damage. Samus now realizes the disadvantage she's in and jumps away from the hoard of Flood, who now turn their attention to Master Chief.
Samus looks down at the hole Ridley caused and finds that the Control Room is ripped apart. Obviously, this Deadly Weapon isn't going to work for some time. Seeing that Ridley has left and the Ringworld is deactivated, she leaves Master Chief to the mercy of the Zombie like Aliens, believing that the Flood are a proper death for the Green Suited Man.
Meanwhile, the Prophet of Truth is lightyears away, cursing the Space Pirates for their interference. He decides to get more Brutes before coming up with any more battle strategies. We cut back to Master Chief, who has detroyed the last of the Flood. He looks at the damage caused by the Purple Dragon, and his battle with Samus. He turns to leave when Cortana appears on his HUD and asks if he got the Prophet of Truth.
Chief responds "I think I've been tricked by a Dragon.".
---------------------------------------------------------------------
It's more likely that with Samus being superior to Master Chief in Weapon variety and Armor gives her the edge here. It just goes to show that characters from the 8-bit era are just overpowered compared to the characters of today.
Regardless, that does it for the 3rd Versus. If you have any suggestions for the next Versus Match, leave it in the comments. The same goes for opinions, thoughts, and whatever you feel like.
Until then, Adios and Good night.

| | I assume you're joking about this, right? I'd like to have characters that are either similar or have a fanon rivalry of some kind, but if you really want "Waluigi vs. Captain Falcon" I'll do it. Also, you don't just have to have Nintendo characters. The next Versus I have planned is an example of such. |
