Why did they tear apart the Megaman series? They completely remodeled megaman so hed look gay, and they changed the storyline. Now instead of it being Megaman and zero versus Sigma/Wily/Virus/Whatever they come up with, its that everything is connected to the internet and someones trying to control it. They changed it completely. At least the first megaman and the X series are intertwined; they go together.

The Megaman.EXE series really has nothing to do with the original or X series' other than names.

There are like five different Mega Man universes. The original Mega Man, the X series, the Legends series, the .exe series, and now the Zero series. The only thing that links 'em all are the name Mega Man, really.

Technically, the original series and the X series go hand-in-hand. X takes place in the future of the original series.
