It's sweet! It plays like a Mega Man X game (in fact, the X series uses a modified version of the same engine) but with flying. Once you beat the first level the game places you on a mode-7 overworld map that you fly around on, looking for the next area. As you collect items your character (Firebrand) learns new moves, but on top of that when you manage to to track down one of the elemental crests you gain the ability to transform into an entirly new demon with a different set of abilites! Along with all that, you can also collect or buy items and spells to further your attacking moves. Definatly one of the best (and hardest) games of it's kind I've ever played. If you can track down a copy of this game, do it! [ December 30, 2003, 02:19 PM: Message edited by: Cravdraa ] |

Good luck trying to track it down though as it was hard enough to find when it was originally released. However, the predecessors to Demon's Crest are far superior in my opinion. Those predecessor's being Gargoyle's Quest and Gargoyle's Quest 2 The Demon Darkness. GQ was on Gameboy, GQ2 was on NES. Awesome games. |
