Mega Man 9?

Well, it's been about 6 years since the last original Mega Man (classic) game. Do you think that Capcom should revive the original Mega Man series? Should they make Mega Man 9? If so, should it be in 2d or 3d?

Personally, I think they should bring back Mega Man, as he's the original and they never finished the storyline... I would also like to see it in 3d, since if it is in 2d, alot of new gamers won't play it, and if Mario and Zelda could make it into 3d, why not Mega Man?

I'd like to see another Mega Man. I'd want it to be a classic 2D side-scroller, like the others in the series, if only because the Legends series has the 3D thing going anyways.

And I'd also like to see another in the Legends series too; they never finished that story either.

If they were to continue the original MM series, I'd like it to be 2D 1/2. As in, a sidescroller but with polygons and some 3D elements.

^No...just no. Megaman X7 = horrible. Megaman Network Transmission = Worse. Capcom would have to pull their heads out of their asses if they were to make another original series Megaman game.

I want another MM game to show Zero murder Megaman, Protoman, Roll and the rest of the Light family. And hell, there is still much speculation as to whether or not Zero killed Wily and his minions on his way out(MMX4 opening cutscene for Zero). Yeah, there is much to theorise...

Yes I would like to see the final tie-in to the Megaman X series as long as Capcom did it correctly.

Hmm, you people have never read "Whispers In Time" by Erico, have you? I don't know if anybody here still remembers him... Well, it's only THE single-best story about the whole Zero-ending-the-classic-series thing. Oh, and I doubt there'll be any more classic games. Another Legends game, but no more classic or X... Inafune is a Zero fan! Go to www.planet-megaman.com and look at his more recent interview. Very interesting stuffs, really...

I wrote a fic that took place after X6 where the past was revealed. But it was too long and didn't satisfy me so bah.

I haven't played either, but I don't see how the graphical system could have made a difference in the quality.
