Why has Capcom stopped making games for the original series?

It just stopped with Mega Man & Bass. However the Mega Man Anniversary Collection shows Capcom hasn't completely forgotten about it

You actually want Capcom to milk the same concept even further? I think there are enough original Mega Man games, and lately Capcom is focusing on Mega Man Exe.

Even though Megaman.exe is utter garbage and shouldn't even be called Megaman. Talk about milking a franchise name.

I say they should really wrap it up, make a new Megaman Game - darkest chapter in the series - and the classic series before its credibility is destroyed.

And if they find some cheese-ass way around The Cataclysm... *bares teeth and shakes fist*
